Felwinters, thorn, and jolder's hammer
Name a better crucible weapon loadout.
Pro tip: you can't.
Edit: pro tip: if your weapon loadout differs from this I'm telling you you're wrong based on the maps. Almost every map favors this set up.
Edit 2: I'm currently in possession of a superior gaming device and subsequently am not in possession of hawkawesome. I'm sure it's a great gun.

For instance on maps like Shores of Time I much prefer to use Red Death, Praedyth's Revenge and a Rocket Launcher. It's much more effective on maps like that since they have nice long fields of view.

That is a good setup, only problem is, you aren't using The Last Word. Outshoots that pesky thorn anyday. At least, this is my humble opinion and experience.

Thorn is getting outclassed by Red Death, since the pulse buff. Especially on bigger maps.

Red Death Felwinter Corrective measure is still my fav. I have noticed a good majority of my deaths come immediately following a kill before my health regens. So having red death helps fend off multiple attackers. Not to mention stopping the poison effect of your pesky thorn. No post mordem kill for you

I'll go Thorn, murmur for agility only, horseshoes launcher or swop to truth for heavy. Or I'll got voc, pat, horseshoes launcher, truth. Very rarely use secondary.
