Nerf Exotic Handcannons
I'm pretty tired of being killed by any of the exotic handcannons. They kill twice as fast compared to any other primary. Please fix this shit...
Edit1: Dont post if you use handcannons.
Edit2: I use scouts, and I almost always land headshots.
Edit3: I also have all 3 exotic handcannons.
Edit4: This community is more toxic than league of legends! I am not bad with handcannons, I like using a scoutrifle cause they are BALANCED. I keep my handcannons in the vault unless I need the deadmans hand bounty.

The patch is reducing the range they can kill which is the only action needing to be taken

Your right cuz the Crucible is filled with hawkmoon, Thorn or Last word and they kill from any range. i can run any weapon but when people say im bad because every one on the enemy team is using a handcannon i use mine and i dont die worth shit. PvP dont take skill it only matters what gun your using

I understand you probably getting a lot of negative responses but what did you expect with a nerf post? No matter how much i get killed by or feel a weapon could possibly be op i would never ask for anything to be nerfed. Reason being once it starts where does it stop, my favorite weapon could be the next target. Also by posting no one who uses hand cannons can post pretty much guarantees they will post. For the record they are my least favorite primary but i have been using them more lately and they are a lot of fun.

2 RepliesYour shot gun kills are nearly twice as much as the gun with your second most kills, which says enough lol. You're probably so used to running around one hitting the average player, that when you get into a game with someone who can actually precision aim you dead before you can reach them to get your shotgun off, you gotta come here to bitch "op". Here's an idea. Try getting good at a gun that can kill at some range too. Now I know you're not used to aiming for the head.. But you gotta start somewhere right. And this way when you run into a player that knows how to handle shot gunners, you're not just a one trick pony.

They have their strengths (high impact) and weaknesses (range, low ammo count, stability) just like any gun in the game, plus they're exotics, if they weren't good, then what's the point of having exotics, and if you make every gun in the game balanced, the game would be extremely boring and you would have no reason to pursue different weapons, if you want to use a weapon that is harder to get kills with, then props to you, but you can't make a game completely balanced without ruining it

Handcannons require skill. As do all other weapons in destiny. I've devoted most of my PvP hours and pve using every handcannon out there. Other players have done the same, that's why they seem op. It's a weapon that is easy to learn and hard to truly master. That's what makes them so great. The true threat are shotguns and fusion rifles. I have too much sympathy for the community to ever use one on my bladedancer or voidwalker. You'd quit the game. This thread is pointless though because hand cannons will be receiving a range Nerf and up against exotic weapons of other types Their time to kill are comparable, except for tlw. Suros can take it on so can vex as can any other top tier exotic. Just stop complaining about it. I stopped botching about shotguns and learned to handle them. Sticky nades ftw.

4 RepliesThey have their strengths, as well as their weaknesses. That doesn't mean they need a nerf because they're good. They're very well balanced. I'm an avid hand cannon user, I usually do pretty well, but I get wrecked by people using auto rifles all the time, shotguns and fusions at close range, and snipers at long range. If they dominated at all ranges then you could make an argument, but they don't. Don't whine and cry because they're popular and you get killed by them.

Don't need to fully nerf just need to make them short distant , there a hand cannon. Not an sniper rifle ! Leave the damage but lower there rang and accuracy at range ! They should 2-1 shot critical. Close to mid range !

I am not that great in PvP at all (my new titan is getting rekt lol) however I have found during this IB event that the gun does not make the man, but rather the other way around. I have been rocking my Regime for the AR headshots and Sprees, and I have found many, many people that lean too heavily on the Thorn's perk. There were rounds last night where I would drop them before they could land the second hit, or even get me with a headshot. Same with TLW: I went against one guy who just could not use that gun effectively. He killed me once with it, but then after that got owned over and over again at varying ranges (including the gun's sweet spot). Point is, if someone is taking you to school with either of those guns, then chances are they know how to use them effectively. Personally, I don't (whenever I used Thorn, I would get nothing but assists - my team would usually swarm and drop the guy before my DoT could finish him off [:~;]). But wanting a nerf on a gun someone has learned to use proficiently is not fair to anyone - if they put in the time, they should reap the rewards of the understanding. They should not be punished for effectively learning the weapon, nor should we (everyone else) be rewarded for failing to adapt to new situations.

4 Replies*Gasp* Do my eyes deceive me!? .....Nope, it's another thread demanding that an exotic weapon be nerfed, because the OP gets his @$$ handed to him in crucible. Bungie should give an exotic weapon to the person that makes the 1 millionth post demanding a weapon be nerfed. If I was to guesstimate, I'd say this forum is only about 100k tear filled nerf posts away from that mark.

And, for all you Thorn fanbabies reading this: I'll have Thorn as soon as I kill Xyor this weekend. And when I do, just as my gaming buddies, I will choose [i]not[/i] to bring it the the Crucible.
