I'm all PVE. I like to do as much damage as possible to all enemies. Bosses are my focus, when around. I like to be able to take a few hits before having to take cover. I'm capable at reviving others but it isn't my role. And I HATE being dependent on other players' help. I like to be as good at winning solo as possible. So which class would be best for my playstyle?

With sunsinger you can put 100% damage on the boss Die Self-Rez and put 10-12 'nades on him
-
Sunsinger radiant skin or defender Defender takes more hits but doesn't do as much damage Sunsinger does a bit more damage but doesn't take as many hits. I'd say defender
-
I think Defender really suits the role you're looking for. As a titan you have more armor and therefore can take quite a few hits, weapons of light or blessing of light will allow you to do more damage or stay in the fight longer, respectively. With a bubble you can revive but that doesn't take priority.

-
Sunsinger is built for survival in pve.
-
Sunsinger/defender If solo. Striker/hunter if with people
-
Though I'm a bladedancer with a similar focus...
Bosses are my focus

I'm capable at reviving others but it isn't my role.
Those caught my eye. You might be better off with a sunsinger.

Make one of all 3. Level each up to 12, getting at least the grenade and super for each subclass. Decide from there.

U don't always have to depend on somebody all the time only when u need to soloing things sucks what if u die in the nightfall u have to start all over again if ur on Xbox I have killed Crota on hard over 500 times. Not by myself that's for sure u just need the right fireteam and u can get the job done.Hell I can even help u. I have 2 lvl 32 one hunter one titian and one LVL 31 warlock.

Sunsinger b/c you hate being dependent.

Edited by DerekS1776: 2/22/2015 1:57:43 PMThe only thing I have not solo'd is the vault of glass. I run defender Titan in PVE for end game crap and the weekly nightfall/heroic and striker when I want to have fun. Honestly you can be as independent as you want with any class as long as you know your limits and how to use your class effectively. But if you make a mistake the most forgiving class is warlock sunsinger from what I have witnessed and my other clan mates have told me. Plus warlocks and titans can give themselves a buff job. :D
-
Defender Titan. Weapons of light is the best damage boost in the game and if you get Ruin Wings you pretty much have infinite rockets
-
Sunsinger. I had three Titans up til last week, made a Warlock and currently leveling Sunsinger. Definitely the correct choice for that poll.
-
I voted sunsinger. Def your best option
-
Sunsinger defo. My playstyle but i love my hunter
-
If you really want to run stuff solo, self revive on the Sunsinger is great. Bladedancer is good too, with its invisibility and speed. Not sure about the Titan though (haven't played enough PvE with it).
-
Defender titan, weapons of light plus ruin wings.
-
10 RepliesHunters put out the most damage period. If your goal is to do the most damage take a gunslinger hunter. If you're worried about dying too much either defender Titan or sun singer warlock.
-
I chose the sun singer because you don't have to be dependent on others since you have self Rez. And your super dishes out the most dps
-
I'd say Defender Titan because of their staying power. Add Ruin Wings and you'll get the dps you want from your heavy. You also have the option for striker if you'd like. It's refreshing to switch between the two.
-
Sunsinger hits perfectly, with sheer grenade spam and self res, your gonna be dpsing all over the place, check out my warlocks chest piece, if you have that pick that bad boy up and strap it on, PRAISE THE SUN!
-
Bladedancers are currently 2/2 for soloing raids first, pick that if you don't like being dependent on people.

10 RepliesEdited by ZoniCat: 2/21/2015 11:20:15 PMsorry, but it doesn't really mater what class you pick because the 1 fact of you don't want to rely on other players help and trying to keep you alive as much as you do them you will never reach endgame, you might make it past the story and up to around lvl 26 but that's it. In this game you need to be able to rely on others if you ever want to finish a raid, nightfall, or a hard weekly strike. If you can learn to be more dependent on other players then putting into account your other traits be a striker titan and get transfusion as quickly as possible, put your armor to the max and equal out agility and recovery as much as possible, with agility having any leftover points. It may not seem like the best class for you but trust me it will work once you get used to it. Learn how to super bosses properly to be able to super them and then get launched back by their melee with getting killed to get to cover. it seems stupid but if can master it, it works. just don't go trying it on aethon. those cluster will demolish you instantly

2 RepliesI've played all six subclasses, and have three of each character to level 32. I have 800 hours of destiny, played through all aspects of the game. Do not choose hunter for PVE, it's only strength is the one crota raid. Do not choose striker titan, it's super is good, but does not benefit your team at all. Do not choose void walker, it is good for both PvP and PvE, but isn't nearly as good as Sunsinger for PvE. Choose either Defender, or Sunsinger. Defender gives you and your team several available buffs to damage, and health, protecting your team and being able to deal more damage. Sunsinger allows you to save your whole team from wiping a nightfall, or raid, while spawning tons of orbs while having damage resistance.

2 RepliesI was a little surprised at the outcome of the votes. Defender titan is fine, but their main use is to support other players so does not really go along with your description. Sunsingers are good at staying alive and have the radiance revive so are confident at solo, but again don't kill particularly better than others. Voidwalkers on the other hand are genocidal murderers and have so many perks and gear that increases those tendencies. They're grenades can be killed especially to clustered enemies and the nova bomb is aptly named. If you're a good player then you have no trouble bullet dodging, health and resource managing any fight so you can stay alive regardless of class, what you're looking for is the best additions to boost what you described above and for me that would be a Voidwalker. Just my opinion though, weigh it out along with what others say.

2 RepliesSunsinger, Fireborn Self-Revive You have Eliminated the need for others. YOLO I mean YOLAMTAYHSE If you can decipher that you win a bitcookie.
