To All of You People Who Say That SHOULDER CHARGE Is Cheap...
To everyone saying Shoulder Charge is the cheapest thing since top ramen and whoever uses it is a "scrub":
Shoulder charge isn't that great.
Arguments for why Shoulder Charge is unfair:
1) It is a one hit kill
2) ...
Arguments for why Shoulder Charge isn't cheap:
Point 1: It is countered by fusions, shotguns, and blink. Often just results in postmortems.
Point 2: You can't even turn during it
Point 3: You don't have any peripheral vision when using shoulder charge
Point 4: It must be used within 5 seconds of sprinting
Point 5: There are plenty of safer one hit kill options, and the Warlock melee is practically a one hit kill as well.
Point 6: The Striker is a melee subclass, and shoulder charge is the only thing that saves it from having the worst melee capabilities out of all subclasses.
Reasons for why I use Shoulder Charge:
1) My Titan build has low strength, so I use Shoulder Charge and Overload to have a melee ready whenever I need one.
2) Works great with Transfusion
3) Turns a Titan into a sprinter. Especially if used with Catapult.
4) Looks fancy
5) Preventing Nexus Cheese... I actually shoulder charged my teammates into the Nexus room today when they were trying to cheese. ha.
6) Most importantly, the other 2 skill choices:
A. Suck
B. Suck, and require situational conditions and player stupidity to be effective, AND make people just as angry (yes that is unstoppable)
Personally I find shoulder charge much less troublesome than Warlock melee, auto aim golden gun, or Radiance in PvP when you have killed someone and are dancing on top of them. That stuff is pretty scary.
EDIT: Not auto-aim GG, just excessively high aim-assist GG. Which doesn't matter if you're a good shot.
EDIT: Let's not forget magnetic grenades... and Fusion Gs. Not whining btw.
EDIT: I KNOW Warlock melee isn't a one hitter. But two is. And you'll never die in a CQC fight if you've got an overshield.
EDIT: The first Striker, leading its subclass in K/D, doesn't show up on the leaderboards until #33. There are 3 Defenders before him.

You can't personally turn but the tracking on it is so broken you can 180° wall climb and hit some one. Storm grip melee also has the overload which can cause 1 hit kills. Neither hunter or warlock have those options. You also have the boots which allows significantly more damage to the shoulder charge that can one hit Guardians out of super. Snipers can't do that anymore as of this past week. I don't understand how a melee has more damage than a bullet.

2 RepliesBump. Titans strikers are by far the weakest subclass in crucible. Shoulder charge helps to offset it. Even then I don't find it all that useful. Unless you're using an exotic slot for stand asides, the window is usually too small to plan an attack. It's usually coincidence when you actually get to use it. Mostly I use it for air transport to dodge incoming fire. But it should have a cool down. That would help balance it out.

7 RepliesAgreed, the only people who think shoulder charge is op are people that haven't used it. It's frustrating to die from, hilarious to get kills by, but the truth is against half decent players you will be lucky to land 1 in 5. If you find yourself dying from shoulder charge a lot, you're probably the kind of person who has a below 1 kd and made a thread about arc blade needing a nerf.

I've found a tactic that makes strikers in crucible worthy. You equip the flash bang grenade type and shoulder charge and you throw a grenade at a enemy and you charge your shoulder charge up by running into a wall and then kill them.

Shoulder charge can be used to instantly change directions and get a kill at the same time. It can be charged in all of 3 steps by people who aren't me. You can go around corners with it charged.
