I see week after week posts about XUR SELLING GALLY THIS WEEK CONFIRMED...and in it every time i see some people who have Gally are like I WILL QUIT IF HE DOES.
Why though?
Only reason you have Gally is because RNG was gracious to you at one point and time....RNG has nothing to do with skill, it has nothing to do with time played, it has nothing to do with anything except RN.
Please if you are a complainer give me a good reason that it is bad to give everyone a Gally. And I already know the main response will be: IT WILL MAKE THE GAME TOO EASY. My response to that is THEN BREAK YOURS DOWN TO MAKE IT FAIR AGAIN, YOU ALREADY HAD A CHANCE GIVE SOMEONE ELSE A CHANCE WITH IT SINCE YOU WERE ONLY BLESSED RANDOMLY AND NOT REWARDED FOR SKILL
AMEN

2 RepliesI have 4 ghorns. 2 fully upgraded. I wouldn't be mad xD.
-
I wouldn't be mad... I'd be happy as hell!!! I hate having to transfer my Gally from character A to Character B. I'd buy two if he sold it.
-
6 RepliesI don't have it and want it so bad!!! But the game/we/ the community needs a weapon that is elusive for the sake of the game. If we all had the best weapons nobody would feel special! ( That's important for the game)
-
I feel they should sell it. The OP is 100% correct. RNG was good to certain players, but that's about it. There isn't an X amount of hours that need to be played. It isn't and insanely hard exotic bounty. Just pure roll of the dice. I don't own one. Do I want one? Sure. Who wouldn't buy it if Xur sold it. I see the only ones complaining are the ones that feel a sense of superiority. And edge over others that don't. "I have something awesome and you dont". Doesn't take psychology class to realize this smh
-
2 RepliesBecause if he sells the gun this game will be too easy because EVERYBODY will have one.
-
6 Repliesbecause this is an mmo and rng is skill and earning. you're all pussy for thinking otherwise. traditional mmos from pc like Tera daoc world of war craft the realm ever quest and anything else you can think of don't even whine as much as you console pussies do. try running a raid once a week with 25 to 40 other people only to have 3 pieces of loot drop then have it so distributed amongst whoever your raid has. you go weeks and months without getting shit or to finally co pet your set. that's all rng right ? it is. yet it's still earning. xur isn't fking earning considering how easy it is to obtain strange coins. it's -blam!-ing welfare to shut you whiny little pussies up. console peasants don't know a real grind you want instant gratification.
-
Because people are dumb...if more people had the best guns it would make raids easier...idk why that would make anyone mad...I played like 800 hours before Gjallarhorn dropped and I'm okay with other people getting it

5 RepliesGjallarhorn is received through RNG. (Just like everything else). Gjallarhorn makes millions of players: Kill Atheon normal and hard (on all chars) Kill Crota normal and hard (on all chars) Do the nightfall (on all chars) Do the daily for the engram Do roc strikes all day Do crucible all night. Pray for Xûr who will never sell it. To then have Tuesday come around and do it allllll over again. If Xûr sold gjallarhorn, BUNGIE would lose a lot of "time played" from all accounts and would be detrimental to their actual business model. They will never sell gjallarhorn via Xûr. CASE CLOSED
-
1 ReplyBecause if he sells it it would break the game so therefore be nerfed
-
RNG gracious? 1000 hours of gameplay, after that I received one from crota HM. I could care less if xur sold it though, but would -blam!- up the game for bungie. Everyone would have the most coveted weapon.

Edited by VoxNovo: 2/23/2015 3:18:01 PMIt's a dumb thing to say they'll quit, but I think the underlying reason is because maybe they really had to grind for it, hope for a lucky RNG, and finally got it. So it feels "cheap" if it's sold. They want others to have to spend as much time as they did to get it, hence the "Earn It" mentality. Truth is, it's also "cheap" if someone gets it with a lucky RNG right off the bat, but that's not as easy to complain about as it is for Xur selling it. :)
-
Lol I honestly wouldn't give a f***. Would at least mean any group I join who can't down Crota efficiently have no excuse.
-
Only if he sells it before matchmaking for weekly heroics. I'm fine with it. Besides, I need a third one.
-
This guy deserves a cookie
-
There seems to no reason why those who have gjallarhorn wouldn't want the rest of us to have it. Can you imagine how fast any boss in any strike would drop if the general public had use to a gjallarhorn? I don't believe in earning and "Xûrning" and as a community I thought we were past that. Can't we all just wish each other the best of luck for everyone's good?
-
Actually I bought my first one from xur ;) the others were all rng.

5 RepliesEdited by Gorubsa: 2/23/2015 3:04:56 PMI am -blam!-ing sick of people posting shit about gally oh you got it trough RNG and shit, BITCH I had to play the game to get it, also if Xur would of sell the Gally next week it would be nerfed in no time they would most likely take out the wolfpackrounds and you bitches would complain becasue you didnt have a chance to use this sexy beast in full potential. This is the only weapon that should be EARNED trough RNG dont care what you say. Go and read the Gallys grimoire card and come back to me
-
2 RepliesRemember when just a couple people had the Vex? And then they nerfed it because it was OP, someone explain to me why they haven't done that with Gjallarhorn yet? Let me try explaining it to you: because gjallarhorn isn't OP if it was OP they'd nerf it in one of the patches from the last 6 months. Thinking they're not nerfing it because "it's rare" is stupid. They aren't nerfing it because it's a situational weapon.
-
I have gally, it didnt until my 5th month of playing, after i have 3 lvl 32s. I know both sides of argument. I was sick of seeing posts that read "gally only ". Xur should sell.
-
Apparently I'm in the minority here but am I really one of the only people that bought it from xur on like week 2??
-
Xur sold it once when destiny came out.

2 RepliesEdited by FIRE WRAITH 01: 2/23/2015 11:45:26 AMHere is a view from an actual student of psychology: People spent time playing this game. Real world time that could have been spent doing other things. They were "awarded" an item after investing time. For some people it was a large amount of time. If/when Xur sells something those individuals spent a good deal of their time obtaining, they suddenly feel a few differing emotions and states of mind. Including but not limited to, anger. despair, and regret. The people who spent possibly hundreds of hours obtaining that one item now feel as if they have been cheated. And all that time they spent playing the game is now pointless. "Why did they spend so much time playing if all they had to do was wait for Xur to sell it? What was the point?" Real hours of real time are then gone, never to be returned. Regardless of a person's age, when time is lost we regret it. (Quick)EDIT: By the way, I am of the thought that Xur SHOULD sell it again. I may be able to entice some of my old friends to play again. Some of which have 400+ hours in the game and still lack many exotics.
-
Edited by Jokerman: 2/23/2015 2:46:28 PMOh no the fictitious game world of destiny would be ruined. Who cares just sell the damn thing
-
I don't want him to sell it because I like seeing people like you cry.
-
6 RepliesI don't want xur to sell it as I think the best weapons should be hard to aquire, not just bought for a few coins
-
2 RepliesGjallahorn is a very rare weapon and it should stay that way. If Xur would sell it then the weapon wouldnt be rare anymore. Tier 1 exotics should not be sold by Xur. I have put around 700 hours into this game and Imo i did earn all the exotics I have. The longer you play the more chance you get getting good exotics, so in a way you earn all the weapons you have.
