Best primary for sword bearer
Hey guys I was wondering what is the best primary weapon to kill swordbearer with (excluding fatebringer and word of crota) and please give info and why its the best, I'm looking for a new primary so I don't have to use secondary or heavy.
EDIT; Just to kill swordbearer, not to run the sword itself.
EDIT 2; Just remember everyone has there own strategy so please don't insult for not doing it how you would do it.

Best primary is Gjallahorn so you can actually take out the sword bearer quickly and not waste Crota's timer. Especially since you won't be using your rockets on anything else. Seriously though, I don't even use a primary as sword bearer. As far as self healing, I've never bothered on Crota normal or hard. Play careful, and get a good run. No one takes any damage.

Red death is my favorite. It always ensures that I have full health on my runs.

Fang seems to do alright for a primary, or any hand cannon. Anything with high impact will be fine. Ideally you'd want to use a secondary or heavy though.

I use Ghorn and word of Crota. Takes him out immediately

On hard mode, sniper or rocket launcher takes down the sword bearer much faster. Primaries take too long and Crota ends up moving by the second kneel.

I use Black hammer on them with a rocket or two from HoC on HM. Primary's take to long to bring them down unless its abyss defiant then it takes a little bit less time but still to long. 6 BH shots and he will have about 5-15% health left if no one else shot him, ready to be supered.

I use gjallarhorn for my exotic slot so I usually don't use it but, the MIDA multi tool is pretty good. It has a great staggering ability.

With the stratergy with my team i use swordbreaker shotgun to kill off swordbeared as im running sword otherwise a sniper rarely use primary for him and his sponging bullets

Our guys mostlt use Suros with a rocket launcher with that. Just to get some health regen going if hit by a sneaky thrall.

Nobody really uses primaries on hard. You need to be using icebreaker or black hammer or any powerful sniper. If you really had to use a primary then fang of ir Yut. Use the oversized rounds perk to stagger the swordbearer and the mark enemy perk to help your team. That perk was designed for killing the swordbearer

You shouldn't be shooting the swordbearer with your primary 3 people with Black Hammer should do fine, and if he has low health and is hiding someone should shoot a HoC (not jelly) at him so he doesnt regain it

For sword runner: [spoiler][b]SUROS[/b] Why? It has the plus 2 agility, and you can regen health by killing thrall in between swords. YW[/spoiler]

I would probably say use something with high caliber rounds to try to stagger the swordbearer to keep him from moving around too much.

Primaries make him run for cover since they don't usually stagger him. Better let your teammates sniper crit him than firing a primary and screw the rest of the team.
