How to survive the oversouls in crotas end
So my friends and I were running the raid earlier and our sword bearer happened to get smacked by crota after the second attack (he got greedy). Instinctively, our two titans threw up their bubbles for weapons of light to help take out the over soul. As it happens, one of then had blessings of light on by accident and they stacked the shields on top of each other by coincidence. When we failed to kill the over soul (primarily because two people could not shoot through the shields and ended up not hitting it at all) one person was standing inside both shields at the same time and while everyone else died, they took a massive amount of damage, but survived.
We tried it on purpose the next time someone died, and sure enough, we managed to get three people to survive the over soul.
I don't know if anyone else is aware of this trick, but it seems to be a nice way ( if you can coordinate) to simply just ignore the over soul entirely. This might even be a great way to deal with enrage if you are taking too long to kill crota.
[Edit] I'm kinda wondering now if reduced damage with radiance plus a shield will have the same effect. I'll have to try later.
[Edit 2.5] edit 2 theory disproven. Crota doesn't go to his knee after you survive the over soul.

. Checkout this Oversoul glitch I found 2 days ago 1) No one is killed by the oversoul 2) oversoul retriggers - sill kills no one. (this continues to happen throughout) 3) all enemies frozen including Crota 4) lasts for about 30 seconds then everything returns to normal. Wish I knew how we did it. Would be really useful to keep crota frozen, even if it is only for 30 seconds. That's more than enough time to full kill him with 1 sword.

I had a Sunsinger in my group die by a knight right before oversoul killed us all. He self revived and picked us all up.

12 RepliesShoot the oversoul with Super Good Advice, every "hit" actually counts as a miss so you'll have vitually unlimited ammo.
