This idea was promoted because my brothers and I wanted to raid together. A friend came over and we wanted to raid together... My girl friend came over and we wanted to raid together... But we can't. Not on a single console at least. I am requesting that Destiny 2 allows a split-screen, multiple account, option for those who want to play with their friends on the same console. This has been done by Bungie before, but obviously not to this extent. This would mean different accounts can play the game at the same time, and raid together on the same console. I can't be the only one hoping for this! Thanks for reading, and I hope this gets implemented!
EDIT: Seems people keep saying it won't work out due to too much going on, what if it were a forced fireteam type thing? So both have to be in a fireteam. ONLY way this would be too much for the console (probably not) would be in patrol if the players went into different maps. Besides for that, it would work perfectly.
EDIT 2: Anyone know enough about the next gen consoles and how plausible it is to run destiny split screen? All we have are speculations, not any real facts! Please speak up!

Would love to see this!

1 ReplyI greatly dislike the modern trend of doing away with local coop. So few games have this feature now, it's sad.
-
I would enjoy this feature as well

-
Go play cod
-
If Halo 5 can do it, there is no excuse for Destiny lol
-
I want split screen too its not fair me and my gf cant play together
-
10 RepliesDude I think they need to worry about actually having a story first.
-
4 RepliesThe next gen consoles could easily handle it. 2 screens with a resolution of 960 x 1080 (with less details) will have the same resolution and polygons as a 1920x1080 (with more details) res screen. The only thing that would be a strain would be if there were different maps/textures etc. But this can be overcome by having a distance limit that prevents too much distance. Spliscreen won't happen though since they want more copies to be sold. It's obvious.

I bought my wife her own xb1 and digital guardian edition. Problem solved.

1 ReplyYes in pve but not in pvp , the amount of times I've lost in halo because people have been playing split screen.
-
This has to happen. 2 player splitscreen at least. 4 might be a bit much.

1 ReplyI love split screen gaming as well, but it may be a problem for games like destiny because you are asking the console to have to render twice as much onscreen at once. Split screen is exactly what it sounds like, it splits into two screens, which means your one console now has to render twice as many enemies and keep track of the constantly moving camera of two players, not one. I'm not 100% sure what specs destiny runs on, but the Xbox One has a hard enough time running games on 1080p as it is. It may be too difficult for the system to run splitscreen on high res games.

YES HALLELUJAH WE NEED THIS IN EVERY GAME AND DESTINY IS NO EXCEPTION SPLIT SCREEN MASTER RACE
-
yeah no im good. when i play CoD the split screaners would allways drag the party if not the lobby and could never kill anything because of what i call the wonder twins effect. im sure we have all seen that happen. nope im good.

Why offer splitscreen when the current only alternative makes the most money? You want multiple people to play in one household go buy another copy of Destiny and another system.
$$$$$$$$$$$
-
19 RepliesNo. I'll solve you're problem for you..... 1. Buy another console 2. Buy a monitor 3. Buy a headset 4. Buy another copy of the game Can't afford it?
get a better job
Your mommy and daddy can't afford it?
advise them to get a better job
3 RepliesWho exactly wants to play Destiny split screen? That's 15 frames a second. No thanks.
-
1 ReplyNO NOOOO NOO
-
5 RepliesOmg not this shit again. NO! I will not have that game downgraded in the quality just so that people can play with a friend on occasion.
-
1 ReplyThe xbox one has three separate processors so it's plausible. From a lay mans point of view.
-
I don't like this idea

4 RepliesBuy another console like I did me and my friend were raiding all night next to eachother. If you buy the digital version you only need to buy games once to use on both. Same goes for psn only one accoint needed for both consoles.
-
4 RepliesIt's really not that hard. Borderlands does it on last gen consoles.

I'm pretty sure that the ammo and loot drops run on separate connections to the servers from each player than the AI and environment data. I think the issue would be trying to run so many different data streams at once from a single console. I'm no expert though
