2 RepliesEdited by Miss Javelin: 10/20/2015 9:16:56 AMOriginal post.
The wind whipped against my face and the ground rushed underneath me as my sparrow whined across the ruins of old Russia. The rusty carcasses of old airplanes littered the fields, partially buried by hundreds of years of sand and dirt. My sparrow caught a wing of one of these planes and jumped off of it like a ramp. For a few seconds, I was flying through the air, then my belly began to tickle as gravity pulled me back to the ground. The mysterious energies inside my sparrow allowed for a smooth landing, then I continued to zip across our forgotten history. But then something caught my eye. There was a mysterious cave up in the face of a cliff. I couldn't climb to it, but an upward airplane wing was not too far from it. It could be used to reach the cave if I got enough speed. Who knows? There might be more lost loot in this cave. I oriented my sparrow from a distance, pointed towards the wing, and accelerated as fast as I could. I hit the wing, drove up it, and jumped through the air.....no good, my sparrow wasn't going to make it. At the last second, I lept off my ride, gaining extra height. My sparrow crashed into the cliff and went up in flames, but I was thrown into the cave. After tumbling a few times, I got up and re-oriented myself. It was a small cave, about the size of a room. In the middle of the cave there was a rock. On top of the rock there was a Fallen captain and a shank. The shank saw me and began to chirp. It aimed its weapon at me, but exploded before it could fire a shot. I wasn't sure I believed what I had just seen. The fallen captain had shot his own robot. It was then that I noticed he wasn't wearing a top. His broad masculine chest was exposed to the air, and he was laying back on the rock in a sexy pose, the gun in one of his arms still smoking, His lower arm rested on his thigh. The arms on the other side of him were used to prop up his head, and the other, was beckoning me to come to him. I thought I heard a low "purring" sound coming from him, echoing off the cave walls. Intrigued, I cautiously moved towards him. He indicated that I should lay right next to him. I couldn't help but be charmed by his confidence. So I lay next to him. He clicked his mouth together and ran a hand through my hair, gently raking my scalp with his claws, and tickling the back of my neck. I couldn't stifle the giggle that had come out of my mouth. I felt a heat rushing up to my cheeks as I blushed. The captain raked his claws through my hair again. With his other arms, he began to rubs his hands down my sides affectionately. He pulled me close and it was then that I noticed how handsome he was. Alien and strange, yes, but handsome. His four eyes glowed with a beautiful blue energy, the hairs that surrounded the hedges of his carapace shone in the beam of sunlight that poured through the cave's entrance. I didn't know his name, but I knew that I was quickly falling in love with him. He reached a hand towards his face and stroked behind his head. His eyes squinted and he began to purr louder, clicking his jaws. He cupped the back of my head and pulled me into a kiss. It was warm and wet, 3 tongues began to intertwine with mine. He held me in all 4 of his big strong arms and I immediately felt safer than I ever had before. Nobody found us that day, nobody found us the day after that, or the day after that. Every day I would come back to my cave captain and spend time with him. He would sometimes give me gifts that he had scrounged up. Other times he would give me raw materials. It was pure bliss. I wish I had known his name....I wish there wasn't a language barrier to hinder our communication. But then again I guess the only communication we need is to be held in eachother's arms. But one day, I returned to the cave...and he wasn't there. Instead, a cryptic message had been scratched into the wall. "This is not how we envisioned you playing our game. -DeeJ "
Necrobump. Longface's beautiful story.

Edited by OldboyVicious: 7/27/2015 4:54:36 AMThe speaker had a family once. He could tell you of days in the park with his wife and daughter. He could tell you of the warm smiles, long gazes and lingering touches... the small things that made him so happy. He could tell you that his fondest memory is of a time when he brushed the sandy blonde locks aside to reveal his wife's vibrant blue eyes... they seemed to glow as a smirk crossed her lips before that perfect kiss. He could tell you... if in the great war he hadn't gotten amnesia. He woke up after the attack with no memory, but with the ability to hear the speaker. And now he serves his task, a duty to all humanity. Studying, analyzing... listening... and sometimes when he focuses and listens so deeply and intently, a moment of calm overcomes him. A cool breeze of distant memory wafts by... and a glimpse of emotion fills him. Love, then joy, a face, a touch, a sound... and it fades back into nothingness. There he is, left with a feeling of something lost. A hollow empty space which can never be filled. Sorrow without a purpose, sadness without a tear. All he knows is that once, he was perfect. Life was perfect. He remembers joy, but never feels it. Constantly chasing his past but there is nothing to catch. It is merely a breeze that has come and gone. In the city below the tower, a beautiful woman sits by a bed, holding the feeble, fragile hand of her aged mother. The woman's voice sounds like an old oak tree creaking in the wind. Squeezing her daughter's hand, the old woman speaks: "I love you, Seraphina, my beautiful daughter..." the effort to speak is taxing, the woman draws a long breath, closing her eyes for a moment while finishing her sentence. Her head turns to the side as she remembers a time when life was captivating. As if in sympathy, the sun breaks through the clouds and a stream of light shines through the window, causing an almost-glow in the woman's face. Comforted by the warmth, she continues to speak: "And so does your father... deep down, he remembers you... and he... he will come back..." With a slight renewal of vigor, the woman opens her eyes. In the light a glimpse of her youth shines through as her eyes glisten and twinkle. She turns her head to stare out the window... gazing into the sky at the top of the tower. "He remembers both if us with so much love in his heart... and he will come back to care for us again you just wait, Seraph-" a cough interrupts the woman's words. The gap in the clouds passes. Shadow returns. The light fades from the woman's eyes. She realizes it's a lie. Staring up at the stoic, unrelenting presence of the tower, she realizes that the hope she had clung to her whole life... the hope for love to return to her and her daughter, was futile. The old woman let out one last, feeble whisper to her beloved daughter... more of a wheezing rasp than words, it was barely audible. A tear falls from Seraphina's cheek, landing on the cold hand of her mother. Her body trembling as she tries not to cry, the lovely Seraphina caresses her hand down her mother's forehead to close those beautiful pale blue eyes one last time... forever. And for the rest of her life, Seraphina wondered what it was that her mother whispered in those last moments. The final words across those lips had been too quiet to hear. Some days when the clouds were just right, and a ray of sunshine momentarily brought a glow to the world below it, Seraphina would recall her mother's last moments, and shed a tear knowing that she had missed her mother's last message to the living world.
"It's okay, Seraphina, smile. For a moment, at least, the world was exquisite."
If they make you delete your story we should flood the post with stories... Although mine isn't tawdry haha.

18 RepliesEdited by FoMan123: 12/3/2014 8:25:27 PMThis story should be made available for purchase as a book or Grimoire card from Eva Levante. It would be called "50 Shaders of Grey." She seems like the type of person who would sell something like this. Hidden away in her corner in the Tower, shamefully reading cheap interspecies romance novels because nobody ever visits her shop anymore. Eva, you tramp!

This my version of this story: (the part were right when the guardian sees the captain) I cautiously moved toward him. He indicated that lay right next to him. I couldn't help but be charmed by his confidence. Then I remembered he is the enemy. Before he even realized what was happening, I took out my LW and put 3 bullets right between his eyes. I saw him slide off the opposite side of the rock and all that showed was a hand inches away from it's gun. I put my LW back into my holster, jumped out of the little cave and resumed exploring the old cosmodrome after getting the loot from a Golden Chest I saw deeper in the cave. I never gave the descision I made of killing it any second thought.
