Is there an Arc Primary weapon?
It's impossible to solo Nightfall or Weekly now as the aliens all have shields and Arc weapons. I don't have friends to create a Fireteam so I can't Raid and I have to solo and I REALLY detest Crucible.
Does anyone know of an Arc Primary weapon which can be obtained without raiding, VoG'ing or Crucibl'ing?

42 Repliesbecause in the latest update it was made harder to solo the nightfall/heroic weekly. the arc primaries are only obtained through the Vault of Glass, Fatebringer, an arc handcannon is dropped only on templar bossfight on hard, praedyths timepiece, an arc pulserifle is only dropped on Gatekeeper on hard. you dont need friends to do a raid, simply post in the threads on the forums that are there to make fireteams, if you're unwilling to do so for whatever reason then there's nothing we can do to help you. i dont even know why you so want to miss out on the best content this game has to offer.

I finished the level 28 weekly heroic with a fully upgraded Shadow Price, Epitaph (arc), and SWARM (also arc). Your heavy weapon is probably the most important weapon during this strike so have an arc heavy handy (preferably a machine gun).

It's not impossible to do the nightfall this week. It's actually still very simple if done slowly. My recommendation would be to have an Arc Fusion rifle for close quarters and then an arc sniper rifle for the spider tank and eyeball.

Impossible? I did it with 3 characters solo in 35 minutes each. I love the challenge and the difficulty! You want a real challenge? Try running a Hard raid with people you don't know. The nightfall is about knowing how to complete each strike without to much exposer. Very simple to do if you play smart and don't think you're going to run over every enemy.

Just make sure you have something that does arc damage, preferably patience and time sniper rifle or fatebringer hand cannon which lets you kill at range. I ran it twice yesterday by myself but ended up getting server errors both times when I was close to finishing off the sepiks at the end( I am still pissed about that). So I ended up just doing it with one of my buddies just incase I got booted again I could rejoin. Gonna make another solo attempt tonight after work.

I soloed the weekly and up to the Walker in the Nightfall (people joined at that point) using just P&T and Zombie Apocalypse. VoC does wonders against the shielded shanks in the Nightfall though...
