It’s greedy but I just pay it. Worth the convenience.

  • You're rewarding their bad practice that way and it won't be a surprise if they make everything inconvenient just to sell the "solution" so you pay them even more and they don't need to work on content and QoL

  • I hear you completely, but at the end of the day, they’re the producer and I’m the consumer. They already have hundreds of my dollars in the form of base game and dlc’s. If I don’t want to invest any more I can stop playing. If I am going to play it and part of my enjoyment or return on investment is having fun and that means avoiding gameplay experiences I don’t find fun like a redundant campaign run, gotta be realistic about the options, make a decision and move on. If it bothers me that much I can choose to stop playing or take control in another way by trying to become a producer of what I’m consuming myself. So in short it is what it is, they’re going to do what they’re going to do. Pushback is fine and helpful at times but bungie is bungie. It’s nothing new.

  • Aware of the consequence. Alternatives to having full activity or completion access on alternate characters are: speedrun the campaign or confine myself to playing on a singular character and let the other two collect dust. Would take hours of even on a speedrun to obtain secondary campaign completion. Either you’re paying with time or paying with money. If the content is redundant such as running the same campaign on an alt, I’ll pay with money. Bungie’s not going to change their policy. Calling them out is fine as long as you guys are dialing back your expectation of results. Otherwise, stick to the one character, or slog redundant content on alts, or pay. Realistically you’re paying with time either way if you’re relating $20 your income conversion per hour of work. So pay with x amount of hours of work or pay with more than that amount of hours, sitting there, saying aloud “this is stupid god I hate this” etc. just buy the silver lol

  • I'm going the 1 character route, again. And also playing so much less it's sad. Once again a friend threw the dlc at me so I'd play with the bros. Actually enjoying this season, shockingly. Still won't pay for it, or pay for skips.

  • Yep I just play what activities in what amounts are fun. Pve & Pvp have been enjoyable. If I’m not enjoying my time I close the game and come back when I want to lol. Plenty of destiny players need to learn to do that. Fomo is only real if you opt into feeling like you missed out lol
