Pinnacle cap increase why
Bungie can’t we have the same treatment as lightfall where we don’t get a pinnacle cap increase until next major expansion like you took 2 steps forward 2 steps back prepare to face backlash

5 RepliesI think it was more 1 step forward, 50 steps backwards. Lowest player count, power disabled/power disadvantage, nerfs after nerfs, PvP causing problems for PvE. The list has been going on for a while leading to now with our lowest player total every and it hasn't been getting better.

The worst possible grind

1 ReplyI hate this i dont ever want to grind pinnacles again. I told my friend who comes around every season to play the story and check out new stuff. He said hes done. He wont be coming back anymore. I dont blame him. Fireteam power being successful isnt a justification to force everyone else into this horrible system of pointless grinding.

1 ReplyWhat the living he!! is the point of increasing power level if everything is capped anyways? We are supposed to be God killers yet we can be one shot by the basest peon. But hey lets make us more powerful, stat-wise, so we can be even more pissed when that same peon still one shots us!

I do have concerns about why this has happened now. If they are reverting to old tactics to retain players, then it could backfire. This forum is buzzing with negative comments... but there are people who do value the change (I would like to know why -I ask in a polite manner) and this forum is not the entire playerbase... so it's not necessarily accurate in terms of overall feedback. Additionally, at a time where power levels are restricted to the activity being run then we could be 2,000 or 2,000,000 and it wouldn't make any difference!! Are we getting actually an increase in power, in which case, how? There is a dungeon coming... will contest mode be set at 2030 with power cap being 2010? If so, then that is very restrictive!! I hope this isn't the case!!

We all know why. Try and increase player engagement. Also could be another Bungie “making a bad decision” on purpose, so they can reverse it, so Bungie can say “we are listening”

It's a real sickener, I'm done chasing it, even less things for me to do in this game going forward as I'll be way too under powered for grandmaster nightfalls, master level content, even legendary stuff will probably be too hard.

Don’t think of it as a power increase. Think of it like Maya Sundaresh’s parting gift to you was a bad illness that left you bedridden with diarrhea for a while and now you have to slowly regain your strength. They’re not increasing the power, you’re just weaker because you got sick and working out is the only way to get back to peak form. (Just be prepared to only do leg days for about 7 weeks.)
