Personally, I’d rather purchase loadout spots, rather than unlock them. A new system that benefits players should not be gated. If you want to give ppl an opportunity to unlock all the new loadout spots, that’s cool, but I think selling them would be a better way to go.
It’s something that can be monetized, removes FOMO, it’s not P2W, and should allows us all to save time, energy, and allow players to focus on doing the activities you want to do, instead of another situation where you gotta play something you had no intention on playing just to get the complete access to a new in game system built to aid players ability to enjoy the game.
TL;DR - Just sell all the locked loadout spots so everyone can experience the new in-game system that benefits all players’ play sessions regardless of ability and skill level. It saves time, energy and it’s something I can see being profitable.

Edited by A_mo: 5/12/2024 8:54:30 PMI wouldn't mind paying for up to twice as many as what we can have or so. Not exactly sure how the memory and all that works for that, but I would like more spots and gotta make up for all the fweeeee somehow. And some of these people who have spent literally their entire short lives with their faces pressed against a screen should just not be listened to when it comes to the money matters. I don't want to play a cheap -blam!- looking or feeling game. There's plenty of those out there that this one gets compared to when it shouldn't be.

This has to be bait.

You should go play mobile games chief.
A new system that benefits players should not be gated.
My guy, pay-walling is still gating. All loadouts should've just been accessible from the beginning, not tied to some arbitrary rank, and definitely not tied to real money.

How about. We enrich the new players experience so that they want to play to unlock more stuff. Let's not monetize loadouts, let's make old dlc permanently free. Make the intro to destiny make sense to new players. The whole community is shattered by its developer. They have no right to monetize every small thing in the game. They've literally stated that they won't overdeliver anymore and man that's the only real thing they kept real.
-
I’d rather they just gave us more free ones. Seems like a cheap thing to give away and improve the game.
-
If you're not good enough to unlock them through the very easy guardian ranks then I don't think you really need to worry about making builds in the first place
-
It is jot difficult to get the extra 4 loadout slots and people who struggle getting them probably dont need them.
-
They shouldn t be gated you say and then a sentence later say it should be gated by monetization. Brilliant thinking
-
People already complain about monetization and microtransactions now, how do you suppose something like this would go over when it actually affects their gameplay, unlike Eververse ornaments and cosmetics?
-
Yes let’s monetize more of the game and trick players into buying loadout slots! Play the game.
