I feel as though when it comes to Trial's Of Osiris, that instead of the current system where those who are doing carries can just reset their card and keep the "not flawless pool" Bungie should alter it and base match making off the total numbers of flawlesses. For example, I have 5 flawlesses. I should pair against others who have 3-10 flawlesses, rather then a group who has 1000+ on just one person on their team. That just isn't fair. Break it up into brackets. Never gone flawless. 1-3. 3-10. 10-25. 25-100. 100+. Just my input on someone who struggles for the flawlesses

Easiest fix which i said months ago would be to lock the reset card option until you have lost a match. Not a mercy match. A real strike on the card. This would have the kd farmers have to suicide each round to take the loss which is counter productive for them. And if the just back out of a match they will eventually get temp banned for leaving matches.

I agree. I have 4 times flawless (I think) account-wide. I am totally fine with matching against players that went 10 times flawless. I am not fine with "touch some grass"-Andy and his friends with 1000+ flawless runs being matched against me, teabagging me for not being as good as them in a digital game that matters NOTHING in real life.

7 RepliesEdited by Phaarmz: 7/10/2022 9:46:15 AMTrials is meant to be a competitive tournament, but its setup means 90% of players never get to the lighthouse. I would suggest that the flawless pool be removed. Instead, all players are in one pool until you get to the lighthouse. Once you reach the lighthouse you have qualified to enter the trials tournament proper. Which is leaderboard based so everybody can see who the top trials players are. It allows non flawless players to play other non flawless players and get to the lighthouse and get loot. After that its a free for all with loot every 5 wins and a full tournament leaderboard. Everyone wins.

1 ReplyEdited by trafficlaw: 7/10/2022 12:39:46 PMMaybe scale down the damage output and damage resistance by the number of times you've been flawless.

Edited by BOSSNONO254: 7/10/2022 8:39:29 PMI like your reasoning. As this would better cater to lower skilled players/lower flawless counts. This would also soften the struggle that many players may experience during a match. But as beneficial as this system would seem, there are a lot of players who have 100+ flawless through paid recovs, ghost lobby accounts, and not to mention those who actually played to get those flawless the hard way. So Bungie would need to actually create an algorithm that better sifts through match history and stats as well to better implement a good system that resembles the one you’re talking about. But all in all, trials is supposed to be competitive. I know there are a lot of steam rolling teams, cheaters, and bizarre matchmaking issues. But PvP will never be perfect and it will never be balanced. This season I managed to get to top 1% for trials Elo. I only have 44 flawless and I’ve managed to beat teams well over 200+ flawless and almost 600 flawless combined. But that’s because either I sweated my a$$ off, or those guys payed for the flawless they have now or ghost lobbied them. So what I’m trying to say is, the real fix that needs to be done is matchmaking changes with connection and or skill level, or card based. As flawless counts being thrown in the mix would be a beneficial factor at first, Bungie would have to further add additional filters to have allow for the best experience for players in Trials. Overall, trials and PvP will always be unfair, unbalanced, and sometimes broken. But if you find a way to work around it, you can make it! I used to be bottom 30% in trials, now I’m up in the diamond elo. So that is enough proof and enough said…

2 RepliesTbh I just don't think it's unfair to play people better than me, and it's the main motivation for players to improve. I do agree flawless pool is kinda garbo but we all knew it would be when they announced it.

So divide the playlists further than they already are? Match Making would take 10 times longer and at best you keep facing the same people. We've been here already. It's demotivating to wait 15-20 minutes for a match let alone face the same people. Anything flawless related attempted to be used for match making will consistently be a failure.

7 Repliesget gud its a endgame pvp mode if you want a easy game mode play banner

These scumbags would quickly create new accounts and get other players that have never been flawless then They would just reset their cards and remain at 0 flawlesses The only way to prevent this is to put anyone that was on a 7 win streak into the flawless pool. That way they would be forced to lose. But then they would just ask their carry to come in with 1 win or what not, I’ve seen that before and too
