I bought the D2 Beyond Light Deluxe Edition

Hi there sorry to bother you all, but can I get some actual clarification I have Cross Save Active via my Xbox and Steam, I purchased the Destiny 2 beyond light deluxe editon through steam, hoping that the the previous Season Pass content would cross over back to my xbox 1 aswell, to play it with friends, would I havr to launch the game through steam to get this to work? Or should it have cross saved over? Im incredibly confused out my mind here

Hello. If you purchased the deluxe edition AFTER you have cross saved, that’ll enable you to have the season passes on your Xbox account upon logging into Destiny 2 on Steam. This will let you use the season pass on all platforms. If it was purchased before cross save and you logged onto Destiny 2 on steam, the season passes have been applied to your Steam characters instead.

When exactly did you purchase the BLDE? Did you purchase it before activating cross-save, or after? I see that you played on your Steam character back on June 13th. If you did not have cross-save active, purchased the expansion content, and then logged in on Steam; you bound the included season passes to your Steam character data. Season passes are bound to the active save data, at the time of purchase/activation. Once bound, the passes cannot be transferred. The order in which things were done, is what will determine where your passes now reside. Edit- Whoops. I see the New Light activity on the Steam character was from 2020. However, if you did not have cross-save active when you purchased, and even started up the game at all, it would still cause your passes to bind to Steam. So the question of when the purchase was made, and when cross-save was activated, still applies.
