Locking a Triumph Seal behind piss poor RNG is ABSURD
Descendant, Harbinger, and many other seals have these attached challenge triumphs which show other players you have certain skills and accomplishments in the game. HOWEVER, including certain RNG based equipment drops to claim these titles is COMPLETELY UNFAIR. This is not a rant on drop rates of certain items (although that is definitely another topic that should be addressed to some degree), it is a mere statement of fact that an achievement is not an achievement if it's just a happenstance of "I guess I'm lucky".
Time after time, Bungie, you ruin these accomplishments and create animosity because a player can't show off their hard work simply because they are deemed "unlucky". 42 clears and all Deep Stone Crypt raid triumphs completed, yet I cannot claim Descandant because no exotic drop yet. Harbinger triumphs completed after dozens and dozens of gaming hours, yet it took 60 clears in the Pit of Heresy before I was "lucky" enough to get an ugly unwanted ship to drop out of the final chest...the final puzzle piece to claim and show off a Luck Seal (formerly known as Triumph Seal). I wonder how many people never got to claim a Seal simply because of pure bad luck Bungie???

Bungie: *adds quest exotic to raid* Community: *gives praise and requests more of this* Next season. Bungie: *adds RNG exotic with no bad luck protection* Community: "come on, you're better than this, you have the feedback so don't be dumb" Months later Bungie: *adds bad luck protection to raid exotics in raids about to be sunset* Community: "yes, bad luck protection at least is good, next time just do that". Next season Bungie: *RNG raid exotic, no bad luck protection, abysmal drop rate* Community: *outrage* Bungie: *silence*

Just imagine? Can you feel my rage??? Its cool I know not to invest time in D2 since nothing matters that we acomplish in it, every thing will be taken away, sunset, or made so easy any one can do it after we have worked hard for something.

I've just started saving seals and i'm gonna buy it in a year. Hopefully they put divinity and 1k voices in that exotic vault too. It's also fun to just farm the final boss on DSC to get spoils. I wonder if on today's reset because it'll be the four ball challenge will it offer 10 spoils over 5. Exciting. (You make your own challenges in Destiny).

Dredgen my first seal took me 5 gambit resets that was 75,000 total points! Waiting for hazard of the cast to drop it was so long!

4 RepliesI'm sitting at 30 raid clears now and still don't have the rocket.....and like you, its the last thing I need to complete the seal. I've watched afew people get it numerous times which makes it even more frustrating.

2 RepliesI think there’s a reasonable amount of RNG a title can ask of a player. That threshold becomes higher if they have some form of bad luck protection like 1K or Anarchy did. Expecting a player to get the Waking Vigil? Cool, that’s fine. But expecting players to play an activity dozens of times with no bad luck protection for a ship, or a ghost, or a certain exotic rocket launcher is just brutal. It doesn’t show any amount of mastery—it doesn’t prove anything.

How else do they keep you playing the game that has less content than anthem at the moment? Yes I went there, I compared destiny to anthem because it is almost as bad now.

42 clears?!?! ONLY??! When I were young were drank castor oil and squeezed moisture from rocks. These casuals nowadays don’t know about waking up at 4:13 am with 39 seconds on the minute to grind all three characters for a single glove. Tsk tsk
