[i]I look at the back of my own hand in comparison, a slender thing, medium length fingers, and ivory white skin.[/i] "How long have you been doing it? Adventuring?"

“About half a year after I arrived... I figure so had to do something with my life. It started out as a revenge quest, trying to find gear to fight back against the IMC, but I eventually got wrapped up in it.”

"Huh. What did the IMC do to get you on their bad side?"

[i]Cobalt appears to be uncomfortable talking about this.[/i] “Food shortages on a planet with a big research center. Civvies rioted outside, and we had orders to shoot for lethal. I couldn’t stomach it, so I grabbed my Titan and left. They didn’t tend to enjoy one of their spec-ops pilots going AWOL.”

"Ah." [i]I nod.[/i]

“And... you know the rest.”

[i]I nod again, staying silent as I rub his shoulder.[/i]

[i]Cobalt goes silent for a second, lost in thoughts and memories.[/i]

"Sorry."

[i]Cobalt shakes his head.[/i] “All good. It’s, nice to talk about it, sometimes.”

"I understand." [i]She nods.[/i]

[i]Cobalt sighs, deeper than usual, and leans back in the booth. He puts his helmet on.[/i]

"Why the helmet?" [i]I cast a one way glamour on the side of the booth, making it seem like we're just sitting together. I try to take the helmet off.[/i]

[i]The helmet stays on, probably a pressurized seal. Cobalt doesn’t say anything.[/i]

[i]I sigh, and let him be.[/i]

[i]Quiet and muffled sounds of combat can be heard from under the helmet, along with the voice of what sounds like Cobalt, and another female voice. Occasionally, the combat stops, and it’s muffled conversation between the two.[/i]

[i]I stay still, quite aware of what it is.[/i]

[i]Cobalt stays like this for a bit, before eventually taking of his helmet. He sits in the booth, silently.[/i]

[i]I say softly,[/i] "You alright?"

[i]Cobalt nods.[/i]

Geo walks over. “Ummm, am I interrupting something?”

"Ah hello Kelly. What brings you over here?" [i]I say with no visible leaning towards hate or happiness at sighting you.[/i]

“I was going to talk to Cobalt about a special project, that may involve the theft of his Titan.”
-
"Mm. How's Nightingale? Still her thieving self?"
-
“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her in a while, but she sends letters every month at least.”

"Good good. I might need her talents in a time. Talk to her would you? If you'll excuse us, he'd like to leave." [i]I head for the door, following Cobalt.[/i]
