Straight up lied to our face
Season Pass free path will now offer 7,500 Bright Dust
Season Pass owned path will now offer 3,000 Bright Dust
and they have the nerve to say with this change we will earn more bright dust than before
I usually gain 3600 dust with my 3 characters weekly, Now this game sucks so I just do the 1200 dust on my warlock and that's still a clear net gain compare to the new system
The gap between bungie and reality is so damn enormous, this is a simple absolute lost for anyone plan to play the game for more than 4 weeks
Just stop with the -blam!-ing lies, I just want to play a game, I'm too tired of your deceive games, just be a -blam!-ing game dev

They explicitly said it was geared towards people who play on a single character and not multiple. It cuts down on grinding at the expense of overall dust. I'm not a fan of having less dust overall, but I am glad that it is at least more convenient to earn.

2 Replies"Lies" Maybe try this new thing, it's called reading. Bungie directly stated that the change would be more beneficial to people with single characters, not multiple. That said, I do still hope they reach a compromise in the future wherein it's still beneficial to do them on multiple characters.

You acting like bright dust is something in this game, then in reality - what you buying with those anyways? Like Soltice armor one time in a year? All cool stuff is still made in silver, so there is really no point for even more bright dust.

Going from Season 11 to Season 12, the new system will yield more Bright Dust up until you hit 78 Weekly Bounties for the Season. If you are playing on one character, that's the equivalent of 13 weeks of bounties. Next Season is probably going to be between 9 and 12 weeks long, I'm speculating 9 given hints on the roadmap. So while I agree that players who grinded weekly bounties on all 3 characters will have a net loss, the vast majority of players, including those with one character, will have a net gain. As soon as changes were announced earlier this year, it was pretty clear this would be the case. I personally think that they are moving in the right direction on this, but have been trying to cover it up with positives instead of discussing the issue head on, Bounties. We need to move away from the Bounty grind, period, and these weekly bounties were part of that grind. Moving to a system that is account based where you complete the objectives naturally while playing the game is going to lead to a better overall experience. That in addition to the changes to Bright Engrams is a net positive, but the way we got here was very misleading to many people, which I agree is a problem. They didn't straight up lie, but they were not straight forward with us.

You cast a STASIS rift, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS shadestep, you make an OLAF! You throw a STASIS Shuriken, you make an OLAF! You do a STASIS Titan missile melee, you make an OLAF! You throw STASIS grenades, you make an OLAF! You use your STASIS Supers, you make an OLAF! You use any STASIS Subclass abilities or supers, you make an OLAF! Darkness is OLAF! See, that's Dynamic Weather for you! It's gonna be epic, like Meta, like OP! We will sunset your guns. Who needs guns when you have[b][i] "Dynamic Weather!"[/i][/b] Bungie Logic!

It’s actually beneficial for the majority. Assuming you are the %5 that are sloths that do nothing but have enough time to do everything on top of all 18 bright dust bounties, sure! You’ll lose some dust. But guess what? They may be helping you out by telling you to go outside instead of having a stroke about a currency change in a videogame that helps out the average gamer?

Therefore they’re helping most of their players by doing this and not significantly impacting the grindlords. It was a good decision from their point of view. They try to paint false narratives. We're making vendor engrams be -20 light lever so you have less grind. -- what? We are cutting your main source of bright dust in 1/2 so you'll have better ave -. to bright dust if you plan one character. -- what how is less more? I wonder if we'll still need to do weekly bounties to level the artifact and seasonal rank? I wonder if the bright dust changes are because of low EV sales. Maybe if the stuff wasn't over-priced people would buy more silver.
