I mostly just imagine that meme of the cartoon puppy in a burning house thinking "this is fine", but the house is Destiny's Community and the dog is all of Bungie's employees just doing their thing. 😂

22 RepliesJust a reminder. The forums is less than 1% of the player base. The people on the forum complaining about this is 1% of forum users. Universally hated is just a tad exaggerated. Most players like me couldn't give a monkeys, we just play.
-
3 RepliesI don’t care. A lot of people stopped kicking and screaming and just decided to move on.
-
2 RepliesI have no issues with it. I can't dislike something I haven't tried out. As far as things being hated, this is nothing compared to the Eververse and enhancement core hatred back when they were going on.
-
2 RepliesThey're catering to the free to play players now because that will make up the majority of the player base. New people don't want to be subject to gate keeping from not having grinded this game the past 4yrs. Everyone will be starting at a somewhat even playing field. As long as they continue to give us easy roll farming its not a big problem because we will be going for newer weapons anyways. I didnt like the idea of giving up the good weapons, I randomly got for use in end game activities, at first but it doesnt really matter anymore to me. We used to have weapons that sort of matched our avatar but now we will just continue on using the flavor of the week.

3 RepliesMost accept it your just seeing a vocal minority

Edited by Double07: 10/18/2020 8:07:40 AMNever forget the epic battle when Masterwork Cores were "Enhancement Cores" for infusion costs.

There is no convo to be had. It's happening and that's the end of it.

14 RepliesI think it was cosmo who touched on a similar post quite awhile ago. They have a pretty strong stance if they have talked on it and nothing has changed, they aren't wasting their time discussing it further. Why would they argue with a bunch of teens about something people haven't even tried yet?

39 RepliesI support retirement. Wanna play with fresh new toys and see some weapon changes
-
8 RepliesI have no issue with sunsetting. Looking forward for new awesome stuff, and not be using the same over and over.
-
20 RepliesFunny how it’s so hated yet the topic has basically died from popularity. Can’t even get an anti-sunsetting post with over 100 likes anymore and now comments are half agreements and half “get over it” If it was so unquestionably hated, the population would drop dramatically, the posts would still be abundant and popular to upvote. The comments would all be in agreement. Etc etc. The reality is more people were pro-sunsetting, have accepted its gonna happen, or have moved on from the game. The “we don’t want sunsetting” crowd seems to keep shrinking the closer we get to Beyond Light.

1 ReplySunsetting killed my addiction for the game. The worst is they do not even care to respond to that problem. Sunsetting is done because they have no other choice, it's not a decision they assume.
-
I know one. It was when we tried to get eververse out of Destiny. That was waaaaaaaaay bigger then getting sunsetting removed
-
1 ReplyGet rid of 90% of the nonsense in the game & they wouldn’t need to vault anything. Ships , ghost, sparrows & majority of blue weapons/armor. Why the hell do we need all these items in the game that make no difference to the game play. A few ok but do we really need 100 different ships or sparrows or even ghost ?????

4 Replies"The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete." - DeeJ 2014 "Aim down the barrel of your weapon of choice." - DeeJ 2020 Even up to the end, he's telling Bungo! Until the end, he is true to his word, and he is telling them! But nowadays, when Bungo makes a Video Game, it comes out as a Magic Card game! Bungie Logic!

9 RepliesEdited by Yosemite Sam: 10/15/2020 2:03:15 PMThe words "meaningful content" comes to mind. The #1 rule is to never get attached to anything in this game. Mainly because this company has a bad habit of constantly changing things, and constantly nerfing the game to fit their needs and wants, not anyone else's.
-
2 RepliesIt's Luke Smith favourite pet idea, and as such it is sacred.
-
it's a "we're making so much money on live services but running out of content, how can we keep them playing? Aha! We'll just recycle the existing content at higher power levels, better than nothing right?" everything else is a deceptive PR statement they are doing it out of greed

19 RepliesEdited by Endar of NTA: 10/16/2020 1:22:04 AMLoot Retirement/Sunsetting pales in comparison to the Destiny Content Vault. Stuff literally being removed from the game, becoming unplayable, after only 3 years max. It doesn't seem Bungie intend on building a game to last. At least we can play all of their older games nearly intact. D1 has a few things missing but mostly there, other than that it's just Halo 1/2 that had online services shut down, and not really their fault on that one. I'd prefer rebalancing over sunsetting, but at least those things are still obtainable and usable for some activities.

What I've noticed is whatever the community "hates", Bungie could care less about since it's a revolving door of players. However, whatever the community "likes", instant reversal of fortune. So, what if we just all pretended we love the idea of Sunsetting? I'd bet a buffalo nickel that Bungie will retract that plan, come out with some long winded explanation of how they found it counter intuitive, and in the best interest of their business model, Sunsetting has been cancelled.
-
5 RepliesLet's take a neutral stance and see what happens! We are getting a lot of new stuff and that usually means new toys. IF they refresh the vendors and towers staff ECT ECT there will be hundreds of ways of getting good guns and in a quick fashion.
-
1 ReplyThe last thing I can remember that's been even close to this level of hated is the infamous bloom mechanic on Hand Cannons. Almost universally hated but Bungie refuses to comment on it.
-
They have engaged, but it's over. Deal with it. Try it out or leave the game, it's totally up to you.
-
I remember something. I remember the absolute dumpster fire that was Bungie’s decision to put MASTERWORK cores in infusion. Now we just get no infusion. Genius.
-
They don't care. Bungle has always been "You can do anything you want to, as long as it's what we want you to do".
-
1 ReplyI hate sunsetting! Leave my paid content alone! I will see the trash fire Bungo puts out before parting with any more money....
