Any other activity, why do we have to throw down a stupid banner, why would any Guardian leave the tower with a single magazine in their secondary and heavy weapon and about 6 for their primary? None of this makes any sense, both for gameplay and realism standpoints.
(Edit)
Gotta be real right now, thanks for all the people who gave me positive feedback, whether they agreed or disagreed. Really helped my faith in this community. You guys are giving me the warm and fuzzies. :D

1 ReplyBecause having to buy Raid banners to use is "dynamic gameplay"

2 RepliesEdited by Blaxsun: 12/16/2019 1:36:12 AMNew for Destiny 2 in 2020: Begin any activity with full ammo and energy! Starting at only 50 silver... Season of the Coin.

1 ReplyJust be glad that we don’t have to buy it from Tess - yet. Anyway Bungle doesn’t do realism.

Guardians believe that heading off into war totally unprepared is one of the things that make them so great. Low on ammo ☑️ Abilities not powered up ☑️ Super not powered ☑️ Now let’s go and take on that Cabal battalion with 3 unstoppable commanders!!! Rewards for above actions: 2 tokens and a blue. Life is good!!!

I thought i had a reason for this but i just realized how stupid this mechanic is
-
Agreed. Always have thought this.
-
Well, because......reasons. What soldier goes into a battle without maxing their ammo first? That's one of the many things in this game that makes no damn sense.
-
Maybe we should have ship mods that reload your ammo, so any time you go to orbit if you have the mod on your ammo is refilled. But if you load into a nightfall already in progress it drops your ammo back down. Otherwise it could be a little game breaking. Actually if you load into anything already in progress it should drop to what it is now, but if you load into the beginning you get max ammo.

23 RepliesThis is what Factions could be perfect for. Whichever activity or patrol zone you load into has an outpost or supply depot that gives ammo free to anyone pledged to the Faction with the highest points or prestige or whatever. Everyone else has to pay a small glimmer fee.

Edited by Pastaclaw: 12/17/2019 10:24:43 PMIn the future before each activity bungie will give you a bag of fresh baked cookies
-
Just fly to the tribute hall and get the ammo bricks on the wall till your full and start your activity. Easy enough.
-
Because we would be toooooo powerful. And that is illegal in Bungie speak. lol
-
2 RepliesMakes sense. I mean...I wouldn't show up to a gun fight with no ammo...
-
5 RepliesNow I'm imagining every action movie scene where they load up their weapons before going into a big fight, but they open the scene fully equipped & just start putting shit away lol
-
Why, if you already have your super, do you have to regain your super when you start a mission? The world will never know.
-
1 ReplyWhy is fire team chat disabled as default in a game supposedly marketed as a co-op team shooter. The mysteries are endless.
-
Cause then you wouldn't run around during those 10 seconds before a strike or whatever ends trying to pick up stray ammo boxes like a chicken with his head cut off before you start the next activity.
-
3 RepliesIts called the Tribute Hall
-
Its another fail design by a company who not think at all, but instead people need to post on the forums and get tons of likes before someone at Bungie would actually activate the brain cells to get simple things done.
-
Because bungle.

2 RepliesAnd isn’t ammo literally just synthesized by the gun from glimmer or something anyway, making the mags essentially just material canisters? I thought I had read that somewhere ages back. That would mean the ammo not being usable by the other gun when you switch guns argument null and void too if that is the case like I seem to remember. Lemme just pull some change outta my pocket and shove it in my gun real quick for some ammo. 🤣🤷🏻♂️
-
6 RepliesProbably because you'll finish the encounter much quicker. They're trying to slow down and squeeze enough time so it feels like the mission isn't going too fast. Everyone knows Destiny's mechanics in and out, the only time consuming thing is shooting high level enemies.
-
16 RepliesUse the tribute hall if you have the ammo items on the wall, alternatively use a public event before going into a nightfall, etc. it works.
-
2 RepliesCool Idea... We are allowed to walk around our ship while in Orbit or flying into an activity, it essentially becomes our player home. On our ship we could keep some ammo supplies and if we are responsible and are capable of keeping our ammo stockpile filled up then we can fill up on ammo before and activity and transmat some ammo down if we need/want more.
-
2 RepliesIf u go to the tribute hall before hand you can grab ammo and then load into whatever activity. You’ll start with what ever u had when u left the tribute hall. Its an extra atep but it helps with the endgame stuff
