You realize if Destiny dies, Bungie dies with it, and even if they manage to survive, they’ll barely have any funding to make anything? And definitely not this twinkling wonderland of a Destiny you’re envisioning? The problem with PvP is everything getting nerfed with a sledgehammer instead of a love tap, causing other things to skyrocket to meta. They need to just nerf shotgun range a little more, buff SMGs a little more, reduce sniper flinch a little more, nerf duration and armor on Spectral a little, and make Nova Warp last a little longer. And nerf Luna’s Howl. Jebus

As long as the sandbox is separate, you get the best of both worlds. I personally don't understand the appeal of pve only. I don't mind doing strikes every week or different bounties but that's only so I can get the weapons I want for crucible. The hundred or so dreaming city bounties were not fun or challenging as I grind for the curated twilight oath. Once you have the weapons you want, is there satisfaction in melting the same mindless bots a little faster? Without a place of challenge to use those weapons, what is the point? There would have to be a major step up in AI to be much smarter and varied to compensate. Intelligence that feels close to human, learning from your habits, taking advantage of your weaknesses. Until then, no way.

So pretty much you don’t like pvp so you think that destiny should remove it and cater to what you like. That is a very selfish argument because a futur destiny without pvp would rob around 45% of the player base of something they love.

Those who say PvP should be removed are being incredible narrow minded and selfish. Could you imagine the uproar if the PvP community said "lets remove PvE from the game. Imagine how great the Crucible experience would be without PvE balances ruining our experience. It would be the best Arena shooter ever!" Just because you don't enjoy the Crucible doesn't mean it should be removed to improve your experience. The solution is to simply separate each sandbox.

Pvp will never leave destiny nor should it. What you want and describe in halo is action sack gamemodes: I think anyone that's played halo knows there certainly is balance and a hardcore crowd. You enjoy chaos gametypes, that's fine, you should have all the options possible for custom games, however that will never be the regular pvp experience nor should it be. The pvp we have currently while not as good as d1 imo is still solid, what you enjoy would probably be mayhem

If they removed pvp D3 needs to launch with even more stuff than the end of D1. 4 full raids. Each with a full set of guns and armor. 12 strikes. Each with at least 5 piece of unique gear that only come from that strike. All the planets from the entire series. With all the zones each planet should have. (for example earth should have old russia, edz, and old chicago) 6 man patrols. Including at least 1 endgame patrol zone like the dreaming city Escalation protocol, prison of elders, and a forge. All with their own guns and armor. And at least 120 exotic weapons (40 for each slot) and 120 exotic armor pieces (40 for each class and 10for each slot) And either a looking for group (lfg) built in the game, or recruiting text chat. All this is bare minimum if PvP goes away.

No pvp = no buy

You are crazy, 2 videos alone on youtube have about 4.8k likes and a few reddit posts have hundreds of likes in favor of keeping pvp. These forums cannot even get past the 1k mark COMMONLY on ANY issue. Secondly, PvP should be there but not the focus. They should make every weapon good- every super powerful and let the skill of players prowess versus crutches. More focus should be placed on PvE and in creating more strikes, missions, adventures, patrols, and raids. Most importantly raids lol- lots of them. What you essentially want will already be a hard sell- PvP and PvE have to be in D3. Everytime I looked at numbers in D1, it was about a 60/40 split for PvE vs PvP. 40% is a big chunk of players and wallets. In D2 the launch failed for a WHOLE SLEW OF REASONS IN BOTH PVE AND PVP. I refused to buy it knowing it was too easy at launch and it was incomplete. The numbers we have now are roughly the same. Gambit counts as PvP cause you are still working AGAINST guardians to win a mode, not WITH. So don't give me that bs that gambit doesn't count. The whole objective is to pub stomp the other team to win. That is inherently PVP. In order to have a big sell for players both modes have to be there, and one mode cannot dictate what the other should be or aka, cannot balance the other in terms of sandbox. They should be seperate. As for people like you saying to pvp players to practically quit, YOU ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMMUNITY. YOU SHOULD QUIT. CAUSE DESTINY IS A GAME WITH BOTH. If you like PvE so much play [spoiler]Skyrim, Assassins Creed, ESO, Borderlands, Fallout series, and so much more.[/spoiler] I love PvP, but I LOVE THE LOOT ASPECT OF DESTINY AND HOW PVE AND PVP seemlesly are cohesive for a player like me. In games like apex, overwatch, cod- there is no true loot. It is skins and unlockables with no real power. In destiny you can actually feel the specialty of the loot. So no, don't remove PvP Crucible. If they do, and if they replace it with dark zones, I promise you, not only am I competent at getting good op loot, I am good at using it. If there are quests and loot tied to dark zones, I promise u that I will grief you. So will many others. Cause we like that challenge- and on top of that you gave us a vendetta to do it. You asked for OUR HALF OF THE GAME to be removed.

I would not buy D3 if they took out PvP. Its simple really. Keep PvE and PvP separate. No need to keep bleeding the two and both sides would be happy. Edit: Also, would you want all those Luna and NF sweats in your patrol world in some PvPvE mode people are talking about/asking for?
