Or several days depending on the rng. You also have take account of the lag, the bugs, your mom telling you to go to bed because you've been up all night grinding the raid. Sometimes you're teammates just leave out of nowhere, delaying you futher. It's amazing how you downplay all the work that goes into the raid just to prove a point.

  • There is no RNG in last wish. You either know what you are doing or you don't. I've done it 30 something times. I'm not down playing anything. It's an easy straight forward raid.

  • Of course the raid mechanics isn't RNG. The loot drops ARE.

  • Yeah that's usually how these types of games go lol not sure how that affects you not having any masterwork cores lol

  •
Yeah that's usually how these types of games go lol not sure how that affects you not having any masterwork cores lol
You've been downplaying the effort put into earning gear in an attempt to minimize the problem. That's pretty much what I've seen so far.

  • How does rng in gear affect your ability to go out and use the multiple avenues you have to gain masterwork cores? 🤔 the logic here.

  • As I've said before, I don't want avenues.

  • Yeah you want everything handed to you so you don't have to play. Like i've said that's like me wanting dragon bone taken out of skyrim as a requirement to craft daedric armor/ upgrade it because I don't want to go randomly looking for dragons or hope rng blesses me with multiple random encounters. You realize what type of game you are playing right? Material requirements isn't exactly a new concept.

  • Downplaying what? Material requirements not being a new concept for these types of games? That's a fact. You should be happy that their are multiple avenues to get them seeing the game literally throws them at you for just playing compared to skyrim where you only have 2 avenues and 1 is 100% rng.

It was fine. But now, we need a masterwork core in order to infuse into our weapon. Not a mote of light, but a masterwork core; an item used to buff weapon stats. How does that make sense to you? Edit: No, really. How?

Before forsaken you got fully masterworked trash gear which would net you 3 cores as opposed to 1 from trash gear that was masterworked. Now you have spider bounties/ fully masterworked weapons granting you 7/ crucible granting you 10 when you hit legend on top of the 100's you get from just dismantling the trash gear it throws at you/ trash gear in this game is thrown at you regularly from just playing and a lot of the time it will be masterworked to the point it nets you one core/ dismantling trash gear can also grants you a scrapper bounty which nets you a masterwork core/ clan engrams give you a masterwork core etc etc etc. There are more cores in the game now then ever if you play... keyword is if you play. You don't. So you'd rather motes of light be required instead of cores? What would be the difference? None. So call cores motes if it'll make you sleep better at night.

It was fine as it was in warmind. Less complicated and made more sense.

  • Cores are essentially motes if light from D1. They've always been a part of the game. It's not a ground breaking new concept for destiny or the genre.

Right but a material was always used in destiny soooo. Motes in D1 cores in D2 😊. You knew what kind of game you were buying so stop complaining and start playing.

  •
Right but a material was always used in destiny soooo. Motes in D1 cores in D2 😊.
I would take motes anyday over cores. For staters, Motes aren't rng. In d1, you just need 80000 xp to earn to get five. Right now, you need to wait a week to get a quarter of what you need. Once those bounties are gone, you rely on RNG to net you cores.

  • Weird when I barely play I get about 7 a day. You'd maybe get 5 motes for barely playing if you are lucky. I also don't rely on RNG. The crucible gurantees you 10. The majority of the time trash gear has a core and when you break them down you also get a scrapper bounty. Get usually anywhere from 3-4 of those daily. Used all my cores two days ago masterworking a gun I'll never use to test it out... i'm already back up to 37 cores without really even going after cores. Like I said the game throws them at you if you play.

You'd still live at the short end of the stick in some way or another. 10 cores, are you kidding me? 10 cores is worth a ddos? A broken router?

  • You've played less then 400 PvP matches. Do tell me more about all these DDOS's you've encountered in quickplay and all the routers you've broken as a result. Short end of the stick? I have nothing to spend cores on lol. I could literally save them if I wanted to but with how easy it is to get them why would I? Everytime I get enough to masterwork a gun and test it I do. I'll be at 0 by the end of the day and back up into the 30's in a day or so where I'll repeat the process. It's not like cores are a scarce economy as you are trying to make it out to be.

  • Hmm weird I've never had a router break and I played quite a bit of crucible through out the years. Did a ton of trial carries in D1 where DDOS'ing was the most "prevalent" and I could count on 2 hands the amount of times I was actually DDOS'd in the 6000 or so matches played. None of which broke my router either because that doesn't break a router 😂🤣 Point is man. Like i've said numerous times you barely play and that's why you don't have cores.

My point: Prevalent cheating is one of the reasons why the system doesn't work. Bad economy is another. Can you count on your fingers how many times this has been a problem? Before forsaken launched?

  • I was a programmer/tech in the marines. Routers don't become bricked by a flood of traffic. "Prevalent" cheating. I guess if .01% of the player base is considered prevalent. Ddosing and cores? Yeah. Never had a problem with cores so that's 0 and have only encountered 4 booters in over 4000 D2 competitive matches between my account and the numerous others i've recovered for friends and friends of friends for free.

That's because their routers aren't cheap. In fact, their tech SHOULDN'T be cheap.
