Remove RNG for getting titles
So i can't be Dregen cause even though i have defeated the primevil servitor 4 times i have no ship
My buddy can't be Wayfarer cause he can't get a braytech weapon
These requirements are 100% not thought out. Remove the rng items.

100+ hours in gambit almost on 5th reset = leg shards and no ship. Dredgen is only for the lucky RNG blessed with meatball. @bungie RNG in titles on items is BS you put a 100 hours into gambit to have only a ship drop hold you back from the fruits of your work! How about Bungie dev's have to develop a stock market predictor and have perfect accuracy before they get there next paycheck! same principle at play here with RNG in titles!

1 braytech away from wayfarer 3 vanity away from curse breaker (ship sparrow ghost) 2 vanity and a reset away from derdgen Granted the reset will give me the ghost I still require the ship.

It would've been nice if the ship and sparrow came in those infamy reset packages from drifter. Sparrow from one reset, ship from two, ghost from three. Problem solved.

I think it’s fine, hear me out, if the seals were just locked to the achievements then most people would have multiple seals, hell I would have cursebreaker and wayfarer on-top of my dredgen title, however the collections page makes the seals a reward, some will get the drops right away and others will get it after hours of farming and to me that’s why the seals are special, not so some random can gawk at it but because you know that you spent time getting that title and that’s a great feeling, well to me anyways.

Not once did they mention that a lot of it is tied to RNG, and some of them tied to specific weeks in the rotation. Bungie are good at marketing, but terrible at execution.

Yeah I don’t have the ship or sparrow for Dredgen and have pretty much given up because I can’t be bothered relying on RNG. I also need about 4 or 5 more kills of invaders using their super, but 99% of the time people just hang back with long ranged weapons, that’s almost RNG again.

RNG in the Triumph book is ridiculous. I dont mind weapons being a grind. What I dont like is to not only have that grind for a meaningless number, but to NEVER see the mission as it seems to be RNG as well. But good on BungLe for putting in Hallowed Lair 3 weeks in a row!! I need the Braytech rocket launcher. Bi had zero ambition farming for a rocket launcher that was really not better than my Sins of the Past and it's certainly not better than the Bad Omens I now sport. Strike specific loot should be a reward NOT a must-have for progression. There are many more like this: all Braytech weapons, Ikelos weapons, Gambit Ship and Sparrow, etc. this game has TRASH RNG. I've never played a game that the RNG was so bad. I really havent. D1 was bad but not this bad.

I've gotten lucky in my grind. I finished out the last of my sleeper quest with the 15 nodes, and I got the Auto Rifle on my first node. Unfortunately I'm having to wait for Titan Heroics, IO Heroics, and the Rocket Launcher Strike. So I'm now just waiting for resets and hoping they go back into rotation. I know I'll eventually get there, it just sucks having to wait for reset and rotation.

1 Replyit's the vanity items I have issues with, I've done all the gambit stuff but guess what I'm missing? The ship and sparrow! so I have to wait for meatball to spawn, beat it and then pray it drops them. Was going to grind wayfarer but this has put me off tbh

The titles are a great idea but, have it for dedication not random drops. If they want it to take a long time, then require many complete missions, games or completions not just random drops. There is no feeling of accomplishment if its just a lottery as to who or if you might attain these titles.

12 RepliesIf they rempved rng items then everyone would havr every title, my buddy did the nightfall to get that braytech weapon 22 times before he got it, its called hard work, deal with it, everybody shouldnt be able to get some titles just cause they want it the easy way, stop being an entitled little kinderguardian and suck it up.

at least make it so that you are more likely to get what you don't have. I have spent hours trying to get a frigid jackal and the game loves to give me the auto instead. More than half the time i don't even get the bray-tech schematic. Like wtf is with the rng of your rng?

I disagree partly. While I do think that you should have to get every weapon and armor, I dont think you should have to get vanity items.

Other than a few Lost Sectors to finish, and some armor I need to buy from the vendors, the only thing that will hold me back from Wayfarer is the Braytech Osprey. I dont grind Nightfalls, (especially not for a year 1 weapon that will immediately be sharded) so ill likely never get the title.

100% agree. I’ve done every avalable raid triumph including Petra’s run and I can’t get the ghost or sparrow after 40 clears
