This Clip May Change the Way You Use Spectral Blades (Nightstalker)

For the players looking to use the new Nightstalker AGGRESSIVELY, here’s one of the best ways to do it.
Order of Execution:
1. Get close to your opponent
2. Jump above their head-level
3. Activate your super
4. Attack from the air
Attacking while airborne has a much higher lunge and less chance for your attack to not register.
**The One-Two Combo (Light Attack + Heavy Attack)**
The initial light attack lets me lunge close to my opponent and helps me dodge gunfire (i.e shotguns.) I finish them off with the heavy attack to become invisible again.
I prefer pairing this subclass with Triple Jump because it allows me to control the height of my jump much easier, and also gives me two jukes while I’m in the air. Since the super wants me to battle from the air, I prefer using St0mp-ee5 or Dragon’s Shadow.

3 RepliesHave you tried combining short hops with light attack to close gaps? (hop>light>hop>light) It is really nice. Oh also something that personally helps me out with this class is understanding that the super isn't actually a slaying super. It's a stalking super. Meaning you go for specific targets and take them out. Rather than timing a good activation to try and wipe the team. You certainly can. But it's not really built for that. Due to the wall hacks and the slower drain while invis and the ability to re invis again it seems like it's meant for those patient plays where you do things like bait people out or hunt down the person with heavy ammo. Also I could be seeing things but I could have sworn I saw someone show up as bright orange/yellow the other day with my wall hacks. Not sure why. But if the color of the person changes depending on a situation like has super ready, is in super, is close to death etc that would be REALLY nice.

2 RepliesThis is great, someone finally put together a video showing how to use the super and demonstrates that it doesn't suck (which I hate when people say because it doesn't). I've been enjoying it and have been getting rarely cheesed by it from day 1. Its my new favorite super and this video shows why. Its fresh, fun, useful, and powerful when there's a skilled player using it.

6 RepliesAlready replied saying I was going to try this. I did, am on PS4 and can 100% confirm this does not work. Your character is lunging at them so well. I jump in front of a guy, mid-air, use heavy attack and it just goes over his head. No lock on at all. Back to Warlock.

This is actually really helpful. Now I’m looking forward to using the spectral blades. I didn’t think it was very good until I encountered this post because the super received so much criticism, but now I feel confident that it’ll be good if I use this strategy, I’ll dominate in both PvE and PvP👍🏼

Hmmm will have to try this, main issue is it likes to lunge beyond the target sometimes as seems you need to be a specific distance for it to range, and I guess in air, it acts like a normal melee hit from air in terms of connecting(if you notice, your melee attacks tend to connect better to an enemy when jumping down to them...yet when on ground with them, can be kind of iffy of the magnetism of the melee hit detection).

I'm still surprised that they don't just treat all melees as little AoE attacks (for supers and swords) Like, I get 'they should actually hit' but if their environment clearly can't do that then they need to just make all melees little 'orbs' of damage. Sure, have the blades be sleek to look at, and the orb be invisible (But still run along the weapons length) I dunno, seems as to why Arc Strider does so well. You're not really 'hitting' enemies. You're just making them near the path of a swing (or a straight up wave of damage).
