Invade without heavy wont solve shiet because ppl you invade will still have it. Its op both for Invade and Defense. The best option IMO is to lock exotics on Gambit.
Other choice is to simply remove BIG A55 hit box sleeper got right now (possibly only in Gambit mode? I believe since its pve+pvp mode, game uses extended hitboxes on guardians same as in pve on mobs). This would leave its power as it is, PVE wouldn't notice a difference and it woudn't be an "aimbot one hit kill machine" as it is now in Gambit. Am I right? Am I right or am I right?
I'm right.

I honestly wish they would take pvp out of the game, there whiney crying attitudes are what ruins the amazing pve aspects of any game those 2 should never cross paths or don't let what a small faction of pvp players say have any impact bc this is a pve game if you want pvp go play COD

On the aim assist, definitely. Locking exotics would be pretty dumb, especially since there’s a exotic specially designed around and for gambit.

Edited by Seqov: 9/18/2018 3:20:13 PMOhh, didn't know that, I didnt have much luck with new exotics besides Two Tailed Fox. Thanks for the info. Yeah then its a probably not a good idea. The second idea tho?

I could see it. It wouldn’t cripple the weapon very much, and people wouldn’t be able to team wipe a defending team with a single heavy drop
The best option IMO is to lock exotics on Gambit.
This same kind of logic is what created the super stale PVP at D2 launch.

Don't think so, I'm currently playing on Gambit without exotics, and its really fine. Anyway, someone up here said there's exotics designed around Gambit so its bad idea to lock them anyway. But the second idea is not that bad?

I meant the logic itself. This is in no ways an attack on you, moreso the thought process that seems to drive a lot of the community's feedback on PVP in general. We want more "balance" and focus on "gun-skill" with reduced 1HK's and "op/broken/crutch" weapons (as many would call them). Whereas I can definitely respect that want, it becomes this negative spiral where all we'll be left with is very stale gameplay that revolves around grouping up as a team and firing with pulse/auto rifles. End of the day, part of the Destiny PVP is the amazing "OMG WTF" moments, and such are only possible with unique and powerful weapons that allow for comebacks, 1v3's, big flanks, huge swings in point-scoring. Adjusting the hit-box for sleeper wouldn't be a big negative, but I would encourage you to try out sniping in Gambit a bit and note how powerful such is as an invader. I'm pretty sure people are going to gravitate that direction anyways.

Well, perhaps you're right. But as I'm stupid enough to always handicap myself and try not to play as meta says, I have put sleeper away and tried other legendary linear fusion. Seems like they are as much powerfull as sleeper in terms of killing potential, but requires more skill because you have to actually aim the head. Still allows you for great WTF moments if you're skilled enough. OMG WTF moment earned by you, not by a gun. For me actual Gambit gameplay is stale. You invade, people see the WARNING message. You can notice how they split and hide behind rocks. All with Sleepers ready. You can even hear them making the "brii briii brii brii" sounds preparing for shot. Camera goes high up and see 5 dumb ducks standing behind rocks with the same gun waiting for the quick strafe and shoot opportunity. That's not what I call a nice gameplay. Running around, dodging and shooting and throwing and farting and doing all sorts of stuff to kill the whole team or hunt the guy with the 15 motes is fun as hell. But you can't do that against more experienced players, as I said, there's 4 guys with prepared sleepers waiting for you, damn they even know the invader respawns now so more experienced players shoot you right after you respawn.

Sounds like your issue is more the mode itself than the weapon to be honest. I personally still believe removing true-sight from invader would resolve a lot of it - but it's brand new. We should be a bit more calm and careful about feedback requests for PVP. I do appreciate what you're saying though and have noticed the same myself. People do seem to be conforming to the sleeper as an offense and defense, but take sleeper away and I pretty much guarantee you that would just change to a sniper, and if we nerfed/removed those, it'd be linear fusion rifle. Take away all that and you have a 4v1 with autos/pulse/scout. That does not sound fun, nor dynamic. I believe we give players enough time to work on counters/strategies with existing loadouts and we'll see more varied gameplay develop as people learn how to counter the "hide and wait" strategy. Just last night I had a great invasion where everyone was sitting back with their sleepers and I missile titan'd them lol. Was hilarious.

Good points there guardian. Thank you
