YO... THESE HEROIC STRIKES?! I'LL PASS.

I can understand increasing the difficulty, but this is some The Division 1.3 bullshit here... The modifiers are vague as hell. "Solar burn increased..." But void and arc splash damage/laser beams kill instantly too. "Melee Damage Increased..." But I need to melee twice to kill them. They melee me [b][u]ONCE[/u][/b] and "Guardian Down". And you want us to do [b][u]THREE[/u][/b] of these Strikes??? Just for Zavala to give us another Origin Story or Nameless Midnight? Get the fucc outta here lmao. It's called [b]BALANCE[/b], Bungie. We asked for Heroic, not Prestige. [u][b]EDIT 1:[/b][/u] If these "[i]Recommended Power Level 350[/i]" strikes awarded "[i]Recommended 350 [b]GEAR[/b][/i]", these Strikes would make more sense. If the Milestone Rewards were impressive and not repetitive, less would kick up a fuss about doing them.   • Heroic Strike fix: Each heroic strike should have 1 strike specific piece of gear(weapon or armor) that drops based on ur light level. This means you can level up doing strikes and have them mean something. Make it a low chance to drop. This would create the grind and sense of progression everyone is asking for!

    • You did not even mention the Black Out modifier, which means "no strikes today". One hit melee kills from the weakest enemies in the game? What an idiotic change to Heroic Strikes. All it does is increase frustration and cause what is left of your fan base to not play. On the days with Black Out as a mod, I cannot even get anyone to run Heroic Strikes. Someone needs to take control and get this company back to the glory days of Halo and Destiny 1. You really are ruining your rep that you worked so hard to build.

    • i've tryed the strike playlist for the milestone and finished 3 butits still at 0% still and have tryed more and keep getting wiped at the boss. this is not fun and it's all cuz of the nu dlc. it will take to the summer up date forthem to fix it lol

      Lmao, good old lightswitch. For those didnt play much of D1 this was the a-hole modifier. The modifier even says "melee hits are fatal" so avoid melees and make it your main focus when you see thralls running at you. I've beaten 6 strikes roughly about 30mins each. I didnt mind it at all. Get your damn light level up. If you are under powered only do three for the weekly. Play strikes and not heroic if you wanna run through strikes.... that's why it says "heroic" bungie finally makes some stuff a little bit more challenging and the forum users lose their shit... Strikes where never about light levels. Only a part of the major grind. They have always been about special loot. Once they add that back in their meaning would be back to where it was

        I like how the strikes are more difficult now, it forces you to strategize and think on your feet! It seems like people are forgetting that they are going to get progressively easier once your power level goes up. I'm currently 350 still get my ass kicked but by taking my time I get through the strikes with no problem. My only gripe is that the rewards don't match the activity. Give us strike specific loot that helps us with our power level. Just last night me and my clan mate spawned in on a guy with 192 kills in The Inverted Spire strike because people kept -blam!-ing leaving him, we died twice but kicked ass on the third go.

        • The current gameplay for heroic strikes is find cover and stay in it.To me that is not a challenge it's boring, it seems some of you think that is, must be a bunch of campers. Not my forte of gameplay. A true challenge would be an increase in troops, elite, mini-boss, and boss, then I can understand being one shot by a boss or mini boss and then three shot by troops, and two shot by an elite and by the end of the strike everyone should have killed a minimum of 200 to 300 enemies but clearly we never reach that type of capacity ever because the amount of enemies that are in a nightfall, vanguard,heroic strike have the same amount of enemies.It doesn't take skill to stay in cover lol

          You think the difficulty is bad? I don't know whats worse: the re-use of story missions as strikes, or the story missions being re-used as strikes but not even acknowledging they were part of the story... and with horrible writing. "You did it! Rasputin is saved!" "You know we've always got your back, Ana." "And I've got yours." - Will of the Thousands Strike. I wonder what they told the voice actors when recording that session.

        • They are hard but by no means impossible. Just think by next week most players will be 350 so problem solved. You could always do the normal strikes if your struggling.. We want harder content. I'm hoping they will up it to 370 in a few weeks.

        • Your power level is way low, they are way high. This will be easy in a couple of weeks when you've leveled up. For now go with scouts and other extended ranged guns.

          I have run 9 now for the Fusion rifle. 4 registrerad and some bugg out so hard you have to abandom them. Another fully bugged dlc release thank you bungie...

        • these Heroic strikes will be hard as hell to matchmake once most ppl complete the sleeper quest. ran solo arms dealer nightfall, than did heroic after that with randoms, two quit on the way, at one point we are waiting for the new person to join up, and the other guardians runs off and gets killed, then at the boss giant goblin with sniper and no one wants to use cover, and oh yeah WHERE THE HELL IS THE POWER AMMO!!!!!!! and after doing three i was blessed with a 346 hand cannon and 345 drop with plus 5 mode giving me one piece of 350 gear and still have two more to do so i'll wait until next week add to that weeks milestone, slow go but i play solo, so that is to be expected.

        • Not only this, but I completed 4 Heroic Strikes tonight (Saturday May 12, ~ 10:30 to 11:30 pm) and not one of them counted for my Heroic Strike Milestone which still says 0%. And before someone says anything, I know all about the heroic strike being changed in the menus to a normal strike, but I verified the Heroic Strike modifiers were on (Singe, Iron, HeavyWeight) when the Strike started. Not one of them counted! So not only do we have to put up with the poor rewards for increased difficulty, you don't even count them for our MileStone!

          • After reading a whole bunch of the comments, both for and against the new strike system, it occurs to me most you guys don't understand the fundamentals of the strike breakdowns. First and foremost strikes originally where for players that do not enjoy pvp play, like myself. Allowing us players to enjoy endgame content in fps like we have never seen before. Now rather than have one strike list with difficulty settings the had the original three lists, vangaurd heroic and nightfall. The nightfall strike was the only one to have modifiers to make it an increased difficulty. Nightfalls and raids where the pinnicals of being in the vangaurd. The heroics where ment to push players that are not fully prepared for the nightfall or didn't have a set fire team but still wanted a challenge. This set up did two things, 1) it allowed the player to decide how to play not the game. With the modifiers on heroics you as a play are forced to play the way the game wants you to. 2) when new dlcs came out for d1 instead of increasing the difficulty of all the strikes they added a new play list with the increased difficulty, which allowed players that where not at the recommended LL to play the strikes, giving a linear progression through levels. The simple fact is that d2 is a thinly vailed attempt by bungie to minimize production cost to maximize profit. For all of you that think I'm just some dude that has no clue or I'm just a noob, I'm not. I've been playing destiny since year one, before that I've played majority of the halos. Needless to say I'm familiar with bungies body of work. If you guys think d2 is great and haven't played d1 I highly recommend playing it.

          • The strikes today are super f'ing easy and boss that wasn't a phase boss we melted in seconds with supers and rockets. People don't read the burns or modifiers and that is the problem for the most part especially if you go on solo and randoms are running Void Walker, striker and ect... Run your builds according to the modifiers and you'll be fine although yesterday the disadvanges were very painfull. In the end for me it don't matter I got my Sleeper Baby.
