YO... THESE HEROIC STRIKES?! I'LL PASS.

I can understand increasing the difficulty, but this is some The Division 1.3 bullshit here... The modifiers are vague as hell. "Solar burn increased..." But void and arc splash damage/laser beams kill instantly too. "Melee Damage Increased..." But I need to melee twice to kill them. They melee me [b][u]ONCE[/u][/b] and "Guardian Down". And you want us to do [b][u]THREE[/u][/b] of these Strikes??? Just for Zavala to give us another Origin Story or Nameless Midnight? Get the fucc outta here lmao. It's called [b]BALANCE[/b], Bungie. We asked for Heroic, not Prestige. [u][b]EDIT 1:[/b][/u] If these "[i]Recommended Power Level 350[/i]" strikes awarded "[i]Recommended 350 [b]GEAR[/b][/i]", these Strikes would make more sense. If the Milestone Rewards were impressive and not repetitive, less would kick up a fuss about doing them.   • Modifiers are a joke, grenadier is shit compared to catapult from D1 as singe is a crippled version of arc/solar/void burns.

  • Ya, I'm pretty done with this shit, Bungie just doesn't get it and I don't think they ever will. It's BASIC game design, risk/reward and time investment, the REWARD should be WORTH THE RISK Bungie, higher difficulty is supposed to mean greater reward. But literally everything in the game is not worth it because all of the so called "rewards" in the game are garbage. I don't get why it's so hard for them to just figure this stuff out. They had it pretty much figured out in D1. Did no one at Bungie think that maybe making things harder should be made worth doing with actually good rewards?

    • Just finally made it through three of them for the exotic quest...realized I had to have an IKELOS weapon equipped 🤷🏻‍♂️ guess I’ll wait til Tuesday to level up...I dunno.

      • I just want a week where the Heroic Modifiers are Momentum, Glass, and Blackout. This way every idiot who says these modifiers are fun and you should have to take it slow and take like 30 minutes to get to the boss, can enjoy having to be on the constant move or do no damage, have no regeneration, and take massive damage. Combine that with Glass and blackout, NO ONE WOULD DO IT!

RIDICULOUS! I guess it's time to move on... I play for fun, I have a job if I wanna do something difficult for little reward!

          • Well... I don't know. I'm no expert or anything, but... I thought it'd be like this: Story, strikes etc. drop loot up to 340 Using the weekly milestones, you go up to 345-350 Then Heroic Strikes drop loot up to 355-360 Plus weekly milestones you go up to 360 so you can do prestige Nightfall Another week and milestones and you should be around 365, high enough to try Escalation Protocol. And that's without Raids, so feasible for solo players and small groups. But a 350 activity giving 340 loot, it just doesn't make sense. The Heroic Strike loot debacle of 2018 is, in addition to the horrible teamshotting extravaganza of 4v4 D2 Crucible, the main thing almost every review I read (but small and big outlets) complains about with Warmind. It's just not worth the effort of doing it, so why should you? Granted, Crucible is just not fun to play unless it's 6v6, either... Effort needs to equal rewards.

            • They etheir need too revert back too the old system OR give leveled engrams at the end of ever Heroic Strike, giveing you a way too level up with a difficult challenge. thou I honestly suspect they did this too force people back into that god aweful shit-show they call the Crucible, and i'll be damned if I play that god aweful mess.

            • I can somewhat accept ridiculous modifiers and higher difficulty but what I cannot accept is the -blam!-ing loot drop. There is no reason whatsoever to play strikes or any other event if the -blam!-ing loot drop is lower level than players level with not even a chance for higher level for upgrading. -blam!- YOU BUNGIE.

            • I came back to the game since i bought the season pass. at 347 the heroics strike feels like there is no way for me to attempt this. the rewards as many have said, is tantamount to a troll chest at the end. just laughing at you after you spend so much time trying to struggle thru. the reward vs effort curve is pointless here. story wise..so vague, so inconclusive, its not even like cliffhangers, its just bland.

How in the f@ck did they think it would be cool to reward players with crappy blue gear that's 10 levels below your LL for clearing a lvl 350 "heroic" strike?!? I can tolerate the difficulty, hell that's what makes it fun and challenging, and ultimately satisfying to beat, but the rewarding system is broken. If they're gonna reward loot that's below the suggested LL, then it needs to be strike specific loot, bottom line. BTW, how about we just skip the blue items and just reward Gunsmith parts? NOBODY has any use for blue items 10 light levels lower

                • Its annoying because they got it perfect during age of triumph. Nobody ran the raids to be 400 light, everyone was 400 light. People ran the raids because they wanted the good REWARDS. Unique armor, fatebringer, voc, vex, necrochasm, ornaments, praedyth's revenge, word of crota, the kf sniper whos name escapes me, etc. All great rewards.

                  • when the game modifier said (for today for the strikes) enemy melees are fatal i went ehh can't be that bad, so i walk up to a THRALL in my SUPER and INSTANTLY DIE FROM FULL HEALTH. That is what i call an unfair modifier especially on strikes which the BOSS has melee or spawns lots of melee based enemies (thrall on savathuns song)

                      • Bump again. Tired of this screwed up design. A 270 nightfall strike is easy and gives more powerful gear then the heroic strike at 350 ! What are you putting in the koolaid over there, bungie? Whatever it is, its killing the talent pool’s brain cells!

And another thing, making enemies 50 levels above us that crush us BUT when we out-level the activity we CAN’T crush the enemies because you’ve adjusted their level to match ours DOES NOT MAKE US FEEL MORE POWERFUL! Seriously, Bungie, do we need to draw a crayon diagram?

                          Nobody mentioned that they broke grenadier.... nobody... The solar damage is for the enemy, not guardians, as is the melee perk, grenadier is THE ONLY one that helps the guardian.... Grenades aren't a charging any faster at all... grenadeir used to make them lightening fast, wouldn't put it past bungie if they scaled it down to normal then added a 1% increased then went "yep, now that's what I call a benificial perk" then walked across the street ordered their nonfat skinny soy milk latte at Starbucks, sat there and splurged on a scone and felt like they did the world a service for the good

                          • I ran afew Heroics yesterday and noticed my Solar weapons appeared to make no real difference in damage dealt than Void and Arc weapons even though it's "Solar Singe". But as you stated, the enemy weapons melt you on the spot regardless of if they're Solar, Arc or Void. Something just feels "off" with the damage dealt and received in the strikes in my opinion 🤔 Other than that though, I'm enjoying the increased difficulty

                            • The only reason I despise doing them now is because people keep leaving and it takes 40 minutes per strike. I don't mind them being tough. I like the challenge.

                                  The rewards for completing heroic strikes is insulting. If the day comes when HMS Destiny sinks, I'll piss myself laughing. There's so much wrong with the game.

                                • Heroic Strike fix: Each heroic strike should have 1 strike specific piece of gear(weapon or armor) that drops based on ur light level. This means you can level up doing strikes and have them mean something. Make it a low chance to drop. This would create the grind and sense of progression everyone is asking for!
