Shaders should have been kept the same on how D1 has had them because why have a limit on how you can customize your weapons & gear color...

1 ReplySomeone has prob said this before, but I think an easy compromise would be to make shaders permanently unlockable and require a consumable item to apply the shader. Maybe different consumable "dye" items for each rarity.

3 RepliesNo upvotes in the world is going to remove Bungie’s biggest incentive for you to buy silver buddy. Just FYI.

What if... Each time a shader drops, you apply it to a gear slot of your choosing to unlock it permanently account wide for that slot, glimmer charge required. Ultimately, you'd need 9 shaders total to unlock it on every gear slot, if you apply it your Primary Weapon slot, that shader becomes available to apply to ALL your Primary Weapons across ALL your Guardians, to apply and reapply shaders at will, no glimmer charge. After your complete a shader set (all 9 slots unlocked) the game auto-dismantles that shader each time its awarded by RNG into Glimmer or Bright Dust (depending on Rarity).

the fact that this is even an issue is absolutely disgusting.

Maybe they will

Would be nice, but I'd even settle for a conversion method like the mods where you can convert 3 blues into a purple variant.

I believe unlimited shaders is coming by the end of Spring. When its out, bungie will "admit" their mistake and everyone will praise em as they've just added a brand new amazing feature. But in reality, unlimited shaders should've been in the game since day one. This game is sad.

Edited by Crunchyblack: 12/4/2017 6:02:06 AMWhat if we could combine green/blue shaders into something with a gloss and shiny....i really dont understand the point of the drab color shaders....do people actually use them other than just to use them? Massive stacks of awful color combos in drab finish....whats the point?
-
I agree Just make the shaders unlimited and keep the rest how it is And definitely add a kiosk for them
-
-
How are you not drowning in shaders I don’t understand.

I am not sure what side I am on, unlimited (D1) or the new system. I like the idea of customizing so I would hate to take the easy option back to D1 on this. Maybe it would be nice to see how they are earned on the shader page because I can't remember each of them by their names... maybe include a drop rate... or just make them all purchasable period since glimmer is in great excess at the moment. Cheers

19 RepliesJesus christ.. yall will literally cry about everything.. There's not enough grind. There's too much grind. The grind isn't exactly what I want to grind. This thing is too hard. This thing isn't hard enough. Ol goldielocks sounding ass..

16 RepliesI love the shaders! Shaders in d2 allow for more customization of your guardian being able to apply shaders to individual pieces and it ads to the grind if you want shaders you have to play the game. Grind for chests at destinations, do strikes, raid, crucible, and bright engrams. All ways to get shaders. D1 limited you to one color scheme per shader. Now you can combine different shaders on different pieces of armor for more color customization, try it out.

10 RepliesYou must be out of your mind. Limited shaders not only add more to customization, but motivates people to play more and look unique and cool.

The issue I have with shaders is in D1 I could swap back and forth from bright colors for pve to drab for pvp with just the click of a button, now its a clusterfrack!!!
-
1 ReplyI don't know how to upvote lol
-
5 RepliesNo. There's no shortage of shaders in D2. They could use a few new ones that exhibit better taste in color combinations. But what they really need to give us is a way to delete them more than one at a time!
-
1 ReplyI might have cared more about the shaders if the gear was at least pleasing to look at. After seeing the Titan gear, shaders are just lipstick on a pig. lol.

I think I used Shaders on about 4 sets of armor and a few weapons, then just didnt use them at all. The current D2 Shaders are not collectibles like D1 Shaders... so I really see no need to have or use them.
