I played the beta on Xbox one and now I'm playing it again on PC. I like some of the changes they made.
PC players who've never played Destiny before, what do you think?
Discuss anything PC Beta related, stay civil.

Only SHITTY part is I SUCK with kb and mouse and I LOVE pvp so I'll be returning to my -blam!-ing console :(

The aim assist is a little high but I don't think it should be removed altogether, just reduced a bit. And the issue of weapon balancing isn't really up for speculation since there wasn't a lot of different weapons with varying perks or stats to fight with

7 RepliesGame has Aimbot Aim assist. Game has laughable minute character building. Game has immense grind for minimal and lackluster loot. Game has acidic console fanboys flooding the PC community. Game has been cancelled from my pre-order.
-
You can really tell when some one is using the aim assist. Pistols need to be nerfed a little bit. Beta is lacking a lot of content, but I understand the full game won't be that way. All in all, I enjoyed the hell out of it. I'm definitely pre ordering it this weekend. I've been waiting for a good RPG FPS to come out on PC forever. (I didn't like borderlands that much, found it boring)

I liked what I saw, but due to spinach errors I couldn't really see a lot. We'll see how it goes.

8 RepliesBiggest problem for me: Aim assist with controllers in crucible. It needs to be removed.

2 RepliesSuper charge rate is MUCH better and the fact that power ammo is plentiful in PvE feels really good. You're not longer forced to horde all your power ammo for only extreme use scenarios. PvP feels really good and again here the super charge rate is leaps and bounds better. You actually get to use it multiple times a match if you're doing well. Sadly it feels like they widened the bolt spread on the fusion rifle in PvP making it no where near as consistent as it was on console. If you have a rig that can run it comfortably I really believe PC is the premier way to enjoy Destiny 2 after having played the beta on both PS4 and Xbox One. The buttery smooth frame rate and added visual clarity are really a game changer. As a side note Destiny 2 supports ultra wide 21.9 aspect ratio monitors native without any UI stretching, cropping or side bars. Even the FMV sequences are presented in full 21.9 glory. I'm playing it on a LG ultra wide 34in 3440x1440 panel and it's mesmerizing. I average about 90 frames per second with max settings on my PC which consists of: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 EVGA GTX 1080 MSI Krait X370 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz

2 RepliesA friend of mine owns a powerful PC, and when I played over at his house, it felt neat and Fast in comparison to my Xbox. (Mouse-Keyboard sucks tho....)
-
A little tight on content, but it runs like a dream on my slightly outdated and mid-spec laptop.

2 RepliesMy only complaint is not being able to map all the buttons on my mouse. PC gamers have high end gaming mice and the more we can map to our mice the better. I can map one of thumb buttons (mouse4) but not the 2nd (mouse5). Melee and grenade on the thumb buttons is a must!!!

4 RepliesAs someone who won't be on the PC, I'd like to ask the PC players this: how is the super recharge rate RN? Does it feel any more natural?
-
2 RepliesI have feeling that 1st mission is much easier on actaul PC beta build...

2 RepliesIt feels like I'm playing Destiny for the first time all over again...

11 RepliesI'm a Destiny vet. Destiny lools great on PC, but mouse and key sucks dick. PC gaming sucks on all levels but aesthetically.

Its been good I like all the options pc players are given to tailor their experience for their machine my machine is mid tier and it still looks good at medium with 60 fps

I've never been able to get the hang of mouse and keyboard. I've tried, but always played consoles regularly until about the age of 25. So ofc, I use a pad, and I need my inverted vertical look, as I'm old and my brain just can't get used to any other way (nintendo kid). Problem is, when I change the option, it doesn't actually work. Up is always up, down is always down. Can someone help?

7 RepliesI've discovered I'm absolute garbage with a mouse and keyboard.

Amazing

I knew it would look better on PC but I wasn't expecting it to look as incredible as it did when I loaded it up and played today. It looked incredible and felt really responsive and crisp. No issues on my end.

It is like Jon Snow's butt, nice and smooth. I played the PS4 beta and wasn't really impressed but just doing the opening scene on PC and a crucible match, wow a big difference and that 60fps really helps the experience.

It makes me want to touch myself. ;)

It's a pretty great port. It has all the options it's needs(thank god it has an FOV slider), and it just runs well. Earlier I was having problems with connection, certain scripts weren't loading because of a connection problem so the opening mission was weird, but it just stopped eventually and it was okay.

1 ReplyThis game has problems and they keep telling you it's your "crappy connection" and your "crappy computer".

this game is fun, but i have just 2 issues, one is that i tried to map my mouse buttons but it just defaultswhen i get back into the game and 2, i felt my bullets were not registering on some of the people I played against, ill literally empty out an almost entire magazine on someone and they would take no hits, while someone else with one of those magnum handguns would just fly by instakilling me. so odviously this game needs some more work but other than that, its a potential enjoyment.
