Not going to lie I was excited for the beta today. Then I downloaded and played it. Felt like more of the same from the original. I do understand beta is not the finished product. However if I am going to spend my money on a brand new shiny Destiny I would like to be able to see some of these new features and not just play 1 of 2 PVP maps and a Strike mission. At least with the original Destiny Beta I got the opportunity to learn about my character, learn about the abilities and to grow some with the character. This beta basically told me, "You know the drill...have at it." Very hard to get into a game that gives you more of the same and none of the new. Shouldn't we be testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and get use to it?

I don't mind that is more of the same. What I do mind, is that is sluggish AF, and weapons suck PP.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you boyo 😭😭😭

I'm annoyed with arcstrider being so weak and needing a buff and also that my beloved blinkstrike knife attack is gone from the acrc subclass and hunters now punch like a titan but when you go GUNslinger you get blinkstrike knife attack and throwing knifes. What part of that is GUNslinging. Ther should be fancy ways of shooting your gun trick shots to give you more super energy or something and the blinkstrike and throwing knifes should be returned to the arc subclass and be buffed to do more damage becaue sorrg if i throw a knife at your head that IS a one hit kill. Nothing less. The new gun system is lame and special heavy and primry should be put back the way they were as well as intelect strength and dicipline. Otherwise i love most of the changes. Gunslinger is a bit weak and i agree it needs buffed but it mostly needs to be more GUN oriented last word flip around reloads hip firing and coolness and leave the knifes and staffs to the arcstrider as an upclose and personal subclass and also bring back the invisibility class ability when you roll/dodge and let the gunslinger keep his insta reload as it suit the class

If you still had hope for destiny after 3 years, sure. But some of us expected this after the first 3 years.
-
It's ok, it's just D1 but at a slower pace, kinda sluggish AF...
-
3 RepliesVery disappointing. I don't like any of the changes. The 2 in D2 stands for, 2 steps back.

52 RepliesBack in the days before the world was rubbish, bands used to release a single to give a taste of their forthcoming new album. If you were lucky it came in a picture sleeve, if you were luckier you got a live B side, if you were really lucky you got another new track on the B side. It was exciting, a few minutes of new music to feed your passion and discuss with friends until the album shipped. Now everthing is instant gratification, no suspense, the whole product right here, right now and the current generation wails and moans if it doesn't get it. It's my generation's fault, we made the tools to fashion current attitudes and maybe it's karma we have to suffer for it by the endless whining of kids on the internet.

21 RepliesGive it a chance, it defiinitely grows on you. My wife and I did not like it much at first, but we are having more fun with it now. A faster ability recharge, more skill tree variability, and I think most importantly random perks on gear would be nice tweaks. Oh and the warlock supers could use some help. I was a warlock main in D1 but im finding myself preferring a titan and hunter by far right now.

9 RepliesTrying to kill a boss in the strike with primary weapons... Like Wtf Bungie has really screwed that up.... Can you imagine doing a raid with nothing but FU king primary weapons Old secondary weapons in d1 should not be a -blam!-ing so called power weapon in d2... Am so -blam!-ing disappointed with this pile of shite, yes it looks good but the weapon choices r a -blam!-ing joke... Thousands of hours playing d1 am not wasting my money on d2

I miss the days of when we didn't get a beta or demo, w.e you want to call it. Game just comes out and you play it, if you don't like it you return it, if you do like it, you keep it and keep playing until your hearts content.
-
4 RepliesAgree with you. Played first time today and I'll just go back and play D1 when I need my PVP fix. Is it me or are scout rifles completely useless?
-
1 ReplyI wouldn't call it disappointing. More like underwhelmed. Yes, we all know it's a beta, and Bungie should not reveal much. However, what's currently available, and the horrible trickle times, doesn't make me want to keep playing the beta.
-
2 RepliesThis is basically a very expensive patch. All they worried about was improving Destiny 1 instead of creating a completely new experience. That's why most people thought it looked like a DLC. They took all of PVPs complaints and completely destroyed any of the PVE fun.
-
2 RepliesI didn't had any expectation from a demo meant to do only a stress test. D2 looks fun, they promised us a ton of story and a constant flow of new content (the biggest failure of destiny). Weapons and armors with mods will give us a ton of supers, grenades, ammo and fun. I'm looking forward to the launch

4 RepliesIt doesn't feel like a sequel.
-
2 Repliesyou are testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and are getting to use it This isnt some trial or demo, this is a beta to test out the systems. How do people not understand this by now
-
I understand this is a beta build but does anyone think our guardians look a lot more cartoonish? Ive been switching back and forth between D1 and beta and our D1 guardians look a lot better and more "realistic." D2 looks great but very csrtoon like graphics. Like our kingsfall gear would look so out of place on a D2 guardian.
-
Good thing its a "demo" and not a "beta" huh?
-
3 RepliesI agree. I don't see how a new player can get interested in this game with that beta.

4 RepliesHere's my thoughts on why we may of ruined this game from my post
the way many feel about destiny 2 is that its a hyperbalanced game, meaning that things were slowed down and extended, the ttk, ability recharge, even the missions were slowed down and elongated. I think I have an idea of what lead to this hear me out. Bungie has been listening to our feedback, but that's the problem, its OUR feedback. MOST complaints in the first destiny were written by people who were mad at the game cause it seemed completely broken and unfair, so MOST of the feed back was over-exaggerated and blown out of the water, and bungie listen to that feedback due to most of the legitimate feedback being the minority. and with such a toxic community its not hard to see why these were just my thoughts, fell free to debate with me or others, and I know this will get a lot of hate but I just wanted to get this out there. -just some destiny player
It was disappointing in the fact that it was not much, I'm ready for the full game and start discovering the planets and leveling up my characters.

7 RepliesEdited by Racebum: 7/22/2017 10:13:47 PMauto rifles are greatly improved, scouts seem to suck crucible is team play team shooting game does feel a bit slower. really don't like the limited abilities much much more focus on JUST gun play in pve and pvp crucible does play better we still have the flamer ghost :( i don't see this one drawing people in for 2,000 hours like the last

Edited by BIGMAC103: 7/22/2017 10:14:05 PMWho's stupider? Bungie or this guy? http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VvY_AK8435M/UCG14iWOLTI/AAAAAAAAABw/fsg7KmCTLCA/s1600/Hat+fail.jpg

D2 beta gameplay felt like a weaker version of D1. I wasn't expecting that. Very disappointed in the gameplay showcased in the beta. No friggin way I'm buying until a month or two after release. Once I see D2 in the $10 bin will maybe just maybe be worth it.

Pvp is pretty shitty so far

17 RepliesI can't wait for all you whiny bitches to just leave and stop clogging up forums and Facebook pages with the same shit every. Single. God. Damn. Day. Don't like it? Bye Felicia
