She was unable to.
The sand finally fell away and she landed in a pool of water knee deep.
It smelled like death.
The room was far too dark to see, and it's shadows seemed to close in as if trying to suffocate her.

Traci didn't need normal sight. Thermal imaging and night vision all kicked in once she noticed the darkness, thanks to some lessons she has been having. Her hearing also remained constantly on the lookout for possible danger. "Hello?" She took a step forward in the water.
-
Her foot sank into something soft and squishy beneath the pool of liquid. As far as she could see, there was nothing. Too little light for night vision to work, and no head save for something pulsing beneath the water. She felt something warm brush her leg.
-
Traci sent an electrified zap down her leg in response, nothing too strong. "The hell?"
-
Whatever it was jerked slightly... And began to glow with a green light. There were bodies beneath the water. Hundreds of bodies. And they were covered in glowing green maggots.
-
"Oh...." In a flash there was a short sword in her left hand that glowed brighter than a torch. "How...?"
-
The maggots seemed attracted to the light, swimming towards her. One of them, nearly a foot long, brushed her leg.
-
"Aww...Ya want the glow sword? Ya want the glow sword?! Go get it!" She laughed as she threw the glowing sword several feet away.
-
Several went after it. Then suddenly the one on her leg decided to chow down on her calf with razor sharp needle teeth.
-
She laughed harder and tried to pry her leg away. "Th-That tickles! Stop it! Go after the sword!" Traci formed another sword in her hand, less bright than the last.
-
The leeches swarmed towards her, screeching. Get out of the water! Several leeches latched onto bodies near her, entering through the noses, mouths, and ears. The bodies jerked and began to move.
-
"Oh....I didn't want to kill you." Flames bursted out of the hilt and she swung it in a circle before beginning to jog carefully forward.
-
Several of the corpses began to rise out of the water once the worms had entered their heads. They began to approach Traci, growling and groaning as they did.
-
Traci formed a sheath on her waist and placed the sword in it before forming several kunai in her hands. She threw them at the heads of the corpses as she jogged ahead of them.
-
The ones she hit fell, but more and more replaced them. There's a drop off up ahead. Don't let any of the worms enter your mouth, nose, or ears. They'll take over your nerves system and control your body if they do.
-
"They wouldn't be able to. Not exactly human, remember?" Traci sprinted to the drop off and jumped. "WEEE!"
-
If you have a nerves system, they can take you. The Ghost replied. She fell for about three hundred feet before landing in mud.
-
She instantly stood up and began to jog forward, the sword lighting the way. "Nah, my defenses could easily handle something as small as them."
-
If you're sure. Watch out! Her foot caught on something hard, Cannon's helmet. He was lying prone on the ground.
-
Traci caught herself from falling and looked down at her father's helm. "Father?" She kneeled down and placed a hand on the helmet.
-
The visor was cracked, and he wasn't moving. She couldn't hear a heart beat or tell if he was breathing.
-
"He's dead?...No." Traci smiled in a strange, almost sick fashion. She was clearly not right in the head at the moment. "Father, you can get up now. This isn't funny!"
-
The body didn't move. The ghost shimnered into existence. "You weren't fast enough... He's not dead but..." The ghost shook his head.
-
"Of course he's not dead! He can't die! You'll be alright, father!" She snickered for some reason and started to pick him up. "I'll get us to a hospital and you'll be aaaaaaaall better!"
-
The body suddenly jerked to the side, falling from her grasp. It twitched and writhed. One of the worms is in his brain! It rose to it's feet slowly, making choked coughing sounds.
-
Traci rolled her eyes. "A worm can't take me down with just my father's body. Now, the question is...Can I just teleport us out of here?"
