    • The Atari 2600 which I got when I was 7 YO in 1978. After that I mainly played on my Commodore Vic 20 and later C64 and the Atari 800XL. Got my Nes and Mastersytem when I was 16 I think, second hand ofcourse I did not have that much money at that time. Around my 18th I got both an Amiga 500 and an Atari ST. Around 20 I started building my own PC and have been a mainly PC gamer till I was 29 when I got a son and started playing mainly on consoles again. I am now 45 YO, own a hefty gaming PC and all relevant consoles except the Switch.

    • Space Invaders down the local chippy did it for me. I grew up in a small welsh market town, in the 70s and 80s. We only had four channels on our TVs. I had never even heard of a computer, let alone seen one. I still remember walking to the chippie with my mother, and there was a crowd of people standing around some form of cabinet in the corner of the shop. They were putting money in a float, and taking tines to do something with a joystick and buttons, whilst looking at something on the screen. That cabinet, was an arcade machine, they were playing 'Space Invaders', and it was 1980.

            • Nintendo 64 was my starting point. Played Kirby's Collector's Ultimate Dream Collection (or whatever it's called) the other day, and played some Kirby 64. That green N that popped up on thr screen was very nostalgic.
