[b]Fortis strides over to the shotgun and picks it up. He cocks it and aims it at Rhodes.[/b]
"Any last words?"

[i]Rhodes looks up, struggling to breath.[/i] "Yeah, I got a few, last words. Eat a dick." [i]Rhodes lifts his arm, projecting a sheild as a last resort. He draws his pistol and begins to fire, slowly backing away as he does. Most shots are inaccurate, and he can barely hold the gun steady.[/i]

[b]Fortis brings up his shield to protect himself from any rounds from the pistol that might hit him. He fires the shotgun at Rhodes before throwing it behind him and exchanging it for his rifle.[/b]

[i]Rhodes has barely any power to keep the shield projected. The shotgun easily gets through and hits him. He falls to the ground, motionless.[/i]

[b]Fortis puts one last round in Rhodes' head just to assure he is dead. He goes down to check for his pulse.[/b]

[i]No pulse is found.[/i]
