DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY OPINION: Read the whole post and THEN tell me what you think :)
Just read the weekly update and my god it is embarrassing. I feel like i am being patronised by the people that sort out matchmaking and the crucible. When we say "I want to chill with my friends" you replied with "Well play private matches"!!!! What?!?! Well what if I want to chill by myself and I don't have friends online? "Well that's your fault for not having many friends?" Are you going to tell me that next? The whole problem is this element of skill based matchmaking. Having to put us in a pool of players that have equal skill makes the game very sweaty. Not to mention that not having PURE connection based matchmaking ruins any sort of consistency of certain weapons such as Hand Cannons, Auto rifles, and Shotguns in regards to hit detection. When we say we want to go into control with our friends, it means we don't want to have to try like it is a million dollar tournament to even have a chance. FIX THIS
Ok so reading through some of these comments has made me realise that I wasn't clear enough. So my solution is That here should be 2 different playlists.
1. A ranked playlist where if we want to compete in a focused environment so we can hone our skills for the better. This playlist offers rewards for doing well and offers the best chances for good rolls on weapons.
2. A casual playlist where if we want to chill and not have to try every game. This would have the current reward system that we have in place now.
I do understand that people want to improve and I am right behind you on that. But if we want to compete in a focused environment the we should be able to and not sweat like it is a $1000000 tournament. Hopefully this made my statement more clear. I love this game and I want it to be better and I have loads of respect for Bungie but they need to get this game right, so D2/3/4 and beyond can succeed.
PS: Anyone that who wants to see if im a noob. Get 2 or 3 friends and message vsoiitude on xbox and I WILL TRY and get 2 or 3 of my friends and we'll play a series. This is not to boost my ego. This is to prove i have some sort of weight backing my answer and people saying im a noob

4 RepliesMe personally I don't see a problem with the skill level. Everyone wants to tell everyone how to play and when. Just play the damn game and if you are not in the mood to try stop playing. It is really that simple. I just don't get what people are saying by playing a sweaty match. It is either you are trying to win or not. I play for the fun of it it I get pub stomped so what I don't care just play another game if I pub stomp don't care about that either. And I really don't care what people use for weapons I just continue to use mine.

I just read the message. What a disgrace. Bungee shows us once again that it has no idea how to be a fully functioning gaming company. Rather than treating the customers who have poured over 150$ into the game with respect and value their opinions, bungee decides to argue and fight with them. Bungie has shown us once again that they are incompetent and their game is suffering because of that. This game is dead, and it was bungie that killed it.

21 RepliesI never understood this complaint. You want to pvp in a self-proclaimed competitive multiplayer, but would like to be able to kick back once in a while. Meaning you want to kick back and do well at the expense of lesser players just getting crushed.

If someone is playing as hard as they can then they look at it as competitive. Use the private match system or just play to have fun and don't care about the stomping you might receive. What is there to fix? Bungie looks at this mode as competitive and meant to test your skill, crucible literally means: a place or occasion of severe test or trial. "the crucible of combat" Go play PVE if you want to steam roll your enemies. Whiny children.

I've never EVER went into the crucible for a chill game. Only an idiot would think that's possible. This is exactly why they gave us private matches. What he said was correct.

So I should fire up crucible, set the controller down and walk away so that you can have an easy match? This is what I am understanding from people like you that are complaining about sweaty matches.

5 RepliesThere hasn't been a Crucible game since day 1 where someone wasn't trying to rip my head off. Casual gaming is for PvE. Stop thinking you can game n chill in PvP. That only tells me you want noob kills to get your jollies off. That says a lot more about you, than anything.

Sure, it keeps you competitive, but always having to play inside the meta and farming for competitive rolls on meta weapons, becomes tiring. I agree on ranked playlists, but I also believe that Bungie won't take the crucible in that direction because it's not within the image of the Destiny universe. If it weren't for the mechanics of this game, I would have stopped playing long ago. But let's face it, it has the best mechanics out of any shooter. (Please tell me if I'm wrong on that lol) So many 3rd party sites have been developed to track your stats. So I ask of you Bungie, give us a ranked playlist to give us stat watchers somewhere to thrive in... Also, if we just want to chill because most of our friends have moved on to other games, give us the casual playlist. At least make freelance 3v3 a permanent playlist!

1 ReplyYou know halo is more competitive than Destiny but there are still playlists in halo where I can play normal game types and just chill and have fun with friends as well as ranked playlists if I want to play competitively. So yea if bungie thought that private matches were like halo custom games they are completely wrong.

21 RepliesIt's pvp. Not pve. Pvp players always say they are better because they compete against intelligent opponents and not the computer. Now pvp players want an easier play style. Make up your minds. I think pve is boring as hell because you can just jump around in circles, or hide and cheese and still win. Pvp is a challenge. That's why I play. So if you want to chill with friends, or chill on your own, run strikes. For f**** sake, I can run strikes with 2 ransoms and win. How hard is it? I barely play them and I can complete them. When you play a competitive game mode, expect there to be competition. That's why we play in the first place. Unless your idea of competition is to play tackle football with 4 year olds. Then I can hear your point.

I'm a chill player, I don't care too much for K/D I have good games and bad ones. I don't hunt for god rolls, I use the meta because, well it's the meta... I pay for a good internet connection and I'd prefer to get matched with such.
