I also just so pissed off at mediacom I just smashed my modem to tiny pieces with one slam of my fists.
I just got of the phone from explaining my issue and they said there not allowed to open up ports in my area.
So I broke the modem with the b!*€# on the phone and told her now she does not have to worry cause I no longer want there service.

I just hooked mine up to Illinois Consolidated and it is downloading, my Mediacom will not download it

Yup, just got off the phone and they said they will not open the ports as it is against their policy...the problem is they are the only ISP available to me.

I know and that is what I'm getting at so I am stopping payment to mediacom till something is done. They act like a child I'll show them acting like a child than they might change there tune but it will take more than just me I know that.

Lol!!! Hopefully they got this fixed by tonight. They've had long enough and it's not like this is an intermittent issue. It's very specific and unique.
