Hunters are BY FAR the weakest PVP class...
I've mained a hunter for pretty much all destiny activity since about halfway through Y1....
I have a titan for bubble purposes, and a warlock for self res...
The Hunter is by far the most fun to use in PVE based activities, and so naturally I've been using him for iron banner and daily PVP matches.
After being frustrated for months with destiny's PVP and feeling like I was being instakilled by any and every weapon available, pumping people full of bullets and watching them waddle off around corners, losing EVERY melee battle I've ever had...
I decided to give the warlock a go...
O...... M........ F......... G
WHAT THE ACTUAL -blam!-....
I played 1 game, half asleep, and it's sooooooo much easier.... Flame shield, firebolt, radiant skin... I don't feel like I'm at at a huge disadvantage....I'm winning the encounters I used to lose....
Really hits home how disgustingly unbalanced this game is....

Edited by Xiuzyuki: 5/6/2016 5:52:13 PMWarlock glide is completely shit, Warlocks don't have a passive ability like Shadestep, Twilight, Shoulder Charge, Warlocks also don't get as much sniper ammo as Hunters or Titans if you have sniper ammo on your chest and legs. Warlocks is just harder to play than my Hunter or my Titan IMO. (Warlock=17/ Hunters=18/ Titan=19)(I use P&T for all three with field scout)

So because you can't use a hunter right it's automatically the worst pvp class? Mine is my favorite class in the game for anything and I'm a beast in pvp with it. So no it's not the worst

Damn dude same thing happened with me and switching to a hunter. Kd went way up on my hunter the wombo combo shade step is too much and I love it warlock my kd isn't going anywhere

I have three characters alla different class and am able to do as good as I can on all of them

Your hunter has 500+ crucible matches, you warlock has 26, if at 26 matches you don't have better than an average 1.1kd then I'll wager by the time you 500 matches with you warlock his kd will be as bad as you titans.

It's more about the character that truly fits your play style than the character you like. Titan is my main but I do much better on warlock and Hunter

You must not be a very good hunter.. Hunters in PVP are so quick! You can Blink around, and max out agility if need be! It has arguably the longest range Super in Golden Gun. With bladdancer subclass you can use Twitch + healing after dealing a melee kill to almost continuously knife people.

What's funny is I think the same thing when I switch from my titan main to a hunter I feel super overpowered

Edited by albeezy: 5/6/2016 4:02:34 PMAnd yet a majority the players carrying people through trials are running nightstalker or bladedancer and NOT A WARLOCK WITH BOLTS AND FLAMESHIELDS. If it was so easy those people (eg the really talented pvp guys) would just equip warlocks and instantly teleport people to the lighthouse, rather than shade step every 5 seconds in between wombo tosses and snipe shots or blink jumps and arc blades.

3 RepliesHunters still make up the majority of the community. Most Top Tier Players (Kjhovey, Kraftyy, Luminosity) are hunters. Same reason why people used Thorn and TLW, they use what's most effective. Quickdraw, Fleetfooted, Smoke, Throwing Knives, Invisibility, Shadestep, Wallhacks. They have the best neutral game. Warlocks have Flame Shield, Firebolts, and Amplitude. Titans have Shoulder Charge, Juggernaut, and Force Barrier.
