It gives you something you give to Eris. How weird, none of the other Crota weapons do...

It was suppose to be the clue for the lost to light black spindle mission. The rune is suppose to be the second door and hint at your going right instead of opening it.

It only gives you reputation, I'm keeping the "rune" it gives you until something else is offered for it - if it ever is.
