Why do people try hard in Iron Banner??
I'm not much of a complainer.
Nor do I lack skill.
I am an average player. Not the best not the worst.
But it sucks when I just wanna enjoy so PvP and everyone wips out Thorn and TLW.
I mean in regular PvP I seem them quite a bit, but it is no problem.
In IB, every goes try hard. Not just those guns, but the way they play.
Regular PvP is more chill.
Here people are like on thier toes to make sure they can prove who try hards the most?

It is an optional game-mode as the other crucible games are still available if it doesn't fit your style of play. You play Iron Banner, you are going there to win, to increase XP and to rank up. You only get points if you win, so no one wants to lose. Losing is just a waste of time.

Besides ToO, Iron Banner is the only game type in the crucible that winning matters. Other game types win or kid you have the same shot at getting the rewards either way. /thread

I hate the Thorn and TLW. I use legendary primaries, and when I took out Thorn for one game I finished the 10 kill streak bounty

Winning here has a purpose, the better rewards. I love it, more fun, more madness and this time a huge variety of weapons equipped by players. I'm doing fine so far with my Loner.Rebel and Timur's Lash.

If you get to rank 5 you get 2 etheric lights which is well worth the effort

Why would you play in Iron Banner if you didn't want to win? In my case, I don't bother, since I know I won't win enough to get anywhere. I am lousy at PvP. I read how OP shoulder charge, Thorn and shotguns with shot package are. So, I went into Crucible with my striker, with Thorn, Secret Handshake (shot package) and Truth equipped. My k/d was a lot WORSE than usual over the course of five matches. So, I guess I don't have any skill when it comes to using stuff that's so OP it doesn't require skill.

3 RepliesI literally have NEVER (NEVER in caps because I feel like it) have a problem with hand cannons, blink or fellwinters lie. You people complain they have no skill, yet you can't beat them. I destroy them all with hopscotch pilgrim, red death or bad juju and never have an issue. Only people who call people scrubs are scrubs. (I have only used Patience and Time and Hopscotch Pilgrim this IB and I've averaged a 2.0 k/d) Git Gud Scrubs Yours sincerely Someone who is annoyed because you won't stop complaining about everything.

So many stupid responses to this stupid post i don't know where to begin. People are going to use the guns that give them the best advantage to win/ do well. It is not hard to outgun thorn or the tlw, sit back a little us a pulse rifle. As far as the blink shotguns, hunters really have no other choice, all their jumps suck, golden gun is terrible, as well as the rest of that tree. What would those complaining about blink shotguns have people do, sit back with snipers, reach the time limit every time and make it take that much longer to grind out to rank 5, no make the game go fast so we can stop playing this lagtastic IB. Last, the one idiot who was posting that every game is lag switchers, you are a complete moron, not even going to address that with a response.
