Well my fellow guardians, it's time. I have mained a titan since beta. I grew three of them from nothing and like to think I titan pretty hard.
Over the past several weeks RNG has decided it wants me to make a warlock. I have obsidian mind, sun breakers, voidfang vestments, and legendary chest, helm, gauntlets, and boots.
No more excuses.
After I run the nightfall and weekly with one of my Titans tomorrow, I will say farewell to him and create a warlock.
Any advice about playstyle, builds, or general warlock badassery would be appreciated.
And remember, we are all in this together.
Thank you kindly fellow guardians!

Obsidian mind and Bad JUJU combo is FRIKIN SCARY. Use it. Also, the Praxic Fire chest piece is your new Gjallarhorn. Nova Bomb tactics: Blow the crap outta stuff. Use Bloom. Sunsinger: Radiant Skin and the self Rez is your new best friend. Solar flare is the best grenade. Have fun!

1. Melee 2. Melee 3. Shoot 4. Live 5. Use super Voila!

1 ReplyWhen you do pvp on a warlock don't set your skills on floating jump. You'll be an easy flying target. For pve: Voidwalker like already said get Obsidian Mind+Praxic Fire+Bad Juju and you'll be a walking Nova Bomb bomber. Sunsinger, this is the first class you want to unlock because of Fire Reborn. When you have a super and die, you can revive yourself. Personally I like to play with my warlock the most, because when everything seems lost a warlock can still revive itself. I also have a level 32 titan and hunter and they occassionaly come in handy. Like titan with his shield and hunter with invisibility. For builds you just have to check what is needed for the challenge that's ahead. If you need speed or jump higher then you use more agility. If you need to stay alive as long as possible then toughness high. I always use the third grenades of sunsinger cause they stick to an enemy, but sometimes the first grenade is more usefull cause it leaves a big fireball to keep of enemies. As a voidwalker like I said earlier. You want to at least have the Obsidian Mind helmet to get supers fast to throw Nova Bombs. These also can leave a big Void ball behind on the spot where you throw them. I ussually put Vortex and Vortex Mastery on. For armor on warlock you want: - Apotheosis Veil: Regens health on picking up orbs and using super. Very usefull in hard raids where you don't automatically regen health. - Light beyond nemesis: Regens health on picking up orbs and revive teammates super fast. - Obsidian Mind: Regens your super fast - Heart of Praxic Fire: Decreases the cooldown of all abilities when Radiance is active

1 ReplyIf your warlock is going to be a warlock for PvE than start out with sunsinger

3 RepliesEdited by Schuzzle6utt: 2/10/2015 3:08:21 AMMy Warlock has been my main since launch. Everyone says use Bad Juju and Obsidian Mind, and they're totally right. You will be throwing nova bombs everywhere and it's amazing in the lamp section. That should be your main setup when playing as a Voidwalker. Your solar and vortex grenades can be great for getting away from large groups of enemies. Just toss one behind you and they'll either stop dead in their tracks or have to go around. When playing as a Sunsinger I actually prefer to use Claws of Ahamkara. Now I get two grenades and two scorch melee attacks. The Sunsinger can also be an orb generating machine. Your melee attack has a chance to generate orbs and every kill under radiance grants you orbs, making this an amazing class to play as a support role. Don't just wait until you die to use your super, if you're generous with it the rest of your team can generate enough orbs that you can constantly get your super back. I prefer voidwalker because it's more fun, but Sunsinger is a must for raids and nightfalls.

bloom, scatter grenade. done

6 RepliesObsidian mind + praxic Fire then your a complete warlock

You already have obsidian mind so that's good. It's made for voidwalker. If you have bad juju even better. What having all that will allow you to do is pretty much throw nova bombs at will. It's lots of fun.

Edited by Sleep: 2/10/2015 5:28:56 AMSunsinger advice: Use Radiance often. Don't save it up for fireborn unless you know you are getting into something rough. (final nightfall boss, critical raid stages) You will get your super back quickly. Make orbs. Voidwalker advice. Equip the Shatter node for Nova Bomb. (3 projectiles) They "shatter" Titan bubbles and should you clip a wall or something your whole super isn't wasted. Obsidian helm asap. Make orbs.

If you're the offensive player, choose Voidwalker, but if you're supportive/defensive you should play Sunsinger

1 thing you need to know- Praise The Füçkïng Sun

Edited by D0uBLeKiLLBiLL: 2/10/2015 6:36:27 AMStack Disp/Str for a Sunsinger. You get lots of grenades and melees, and Claws of Ahamkara you get two melee cooldowns. Intellect isn't necessary since your Radiance is a buff to grenades and melees. Also, with Gift of the Sun unlocked in your ability tree you will get two grenades. Two grenades, two melees and flame shield equals a not so squishy warlock and is actually quite hard to kill. Good luck sir!

Bloom is the only option when comparing the last skills in the void walker tree
-
Edited by Sa3dii: 2/10/2015 6:11:50 AMSunsinger + fusion grenade + max discipline + extra grenade = Sun God. Just made one after being a hunter since beta and I'm never going back.

double tap the jump button fast for maximum height and distance,..
-
Get this ghost asap
-
For a voidlock, fracture + bloom.
Watch the tsunami of death!
-
If you use voidwalker i suggest using Obsidian mind with bad juju, pretty much unlimited super if you use it on mobs. I really enjoy it.

Napalm. Lots and lots of napalm.

As I've ventured down all three character classes I've found a few things to be very crutial. ALL classes have an amazing mechanic to assist in being a great solo character as well as to support a team, likewise those "gimmicks" tend to be the downfall of so many groups because players depend on them or abuse their power too often leading to overconfidence and imperfections while raiding. A prime example of this is "Radiance;" albeit my favorite ability as a Warlock, it tends to get players into trouble. It's a powerful ability that can truly make or break a nightfall or a PvP match, yet knowing when to use it and communication with your teammates is crutial in getting this ably mastered. Personally, I've used it far too many times before I should have, costing my team to suffer further, I've learned. Another thing to keep in mind is "Glide." Although it is quite similar to "Lift," it is far different, the forward momentum and control is variably different but the height is a major difference. As a Titan, you have somewhat shorter distance but can soar much higher than a Warlock, and the opposing is also true, you'll get places quicker with glide than you will woth lift, yet you may not get the height you're accustomed to. As far as "Voidwalker" as also subclass, be prepared to do cluster damage, quite similar to a "Striker" subclass. The two have so many similarities but the fine tuned details is where you'll need to pick up on somewhat critical differences. You're not a Titan, but you'll feel like a tank. Also, when using a Voidwalker, you have some great sneaky benefits that closely mimick a hunter, such as "Blink." It's a great escape mechanic when taking fire, but it's not that great, IMO. Overall, Warlock is my number one favorite class, Sunsinger being my absolute favorite, but again each class and their respective subclasses have many mechanics that will make the game feel newer to you. The variety of them makes the somewhat short feeling content feel bigger and more worth working with. Not to mention, it's always nice to see your subclass and experience bar climb, I'm hinestly not sure why after level 20 they got rid of the XP bar. It's nice to see at a glance how far you're going and seeing the XP per kill is so rewarding. At any rate, have a blast working on your new character and feel free to add me or any of my clanmates if you're on XBOXONE. Clan: Apex Abolitionaries GT: DonavenAndBeau

As a Voidwalker Annihilate, Bloom, Soul Rip, and Vortex are very good for your Nova Bomb & Blink could be useful once in a while. For grenades, Axiom Bolt or Scatter while be nice. As a Sunsinger Fireborn, Gift of the Sun, Flame Shield, and Radiant Will. For grenades, Fusion for everything except for Deathsingers in CE.

Shoot stuff with powers and things 👍

2 RepliesI did the same today. I hate their jump and am crap at aiming the Nova Bomb lol. I hit lvl 5 finally and had to turn it off. I miss my Titan already!!!
-
PRACTICE JUMPING. Starting a warlock after playing my hunter had me so -blam!-ed up when I had to glide..

Don't do it coming from a guy with three warlocks come house of wolves you will have a better chance to get the armour fast and best way to do it is with three of the same class not hating on warlocks I have three
