Glasshouse needs to be improved

I know your time is valuable, so I will get right to it. (Because I tend to be long-winded) The titan helmet Glasshouse NEEDS to be the improved. As many of you know, the helmet boosts the duration of the Weapons and Blessing of Light buffs. I find it terribly frustrating that while the helmet boosts both of these effects, it does nothing to change the fact that only one can be used. Illuminated goes hand in hand with the Glasshouse and compliments its abilities so well that no other choice is reasonable. But it is still disappointing as well, as it also boosts both but does nothing to change the fact that only half of the helmet's exotic ability can be used at a time. The Glasshouse is one of only two exotics that are designed to further the Defender's support role (the other being the Crest of Alpha Lupi), and it is the only one that lends itself to the performance boosting side of that support role. The Crest of Alpha Lupi performs its role very well: extra orbs of light, a boosted intellect to further increase the orb output, and a revive boost to make sure that your teammates are on their feet to receive those orbs. By comparison, the glasshouse's performance is abysmal. A higher intellect does allow the Ward of Dawn to be used more often, but that's about where the greatness ends. Quintessence Transfer grants a bonus super energy when killing an enemy with a grenade, and that's better than nothing. But it pales in comparison to the recharge boost granted by Inverse Shadow, which is found on so many helmets -especially exotic ones that are tailored to increasing super performance. The exotic ability boosts the duration of both WoL and BoL but only allows half of its ability to ever be used, as it offers no change to the fact that only one of these can be selected. Overall the helmet is incredibly lackluster, and has no real use at all outside of a raid or some other activity where there are six people coordinated enough to take advantage of its ability. Without so many people to use its ability, its benefits simply don't compensate for its downsides. -Especially when compared to the other exotic helmets the titan has in its arsenal. Bungie, I know you value teamwork and want support to be a feasible strategy. The impending buff to the only support oriented weapon in the game, Lord of Wolves, as well as the Hunter's new support class are evidence of this. Glasshouse could be a powerful support tool for the Titan class, but instead its arguably not worth the exotic slot at all. To remedy this, I propose buffing the Glasshouse. Since its performance is so poor, this really could be accomplished in any number of ways (inverse shadow, granting Untouchable or Illuminated, etc). However, the best way would be to grant the ability for a Defender to equip both WoL and BoL, by Glasshouse granting one or the other in a free ability. There are numerous helmets that do something similar, so this wouldn't be unusual or overpowered. I feel that the Glasshouse is ALMOST a great choice for the support oriented Titan, but that its incomplete. That a player can never take advantage of its full potential, and that its rarely worth using at all. Because of this, there is no exotic at all that is effectively tailored to a support minded Defender, unless they want to run an orb build. I hope that a change to the Glasshouse's granted abilities can at least be considered.

 • Seriously? There's no reason for it to give both. There's a reason you have to pick between the two buffs...it's not incomplete, it's fine as is and does exactly what it's supposed to do.
