So two matches today where there has been a blatant Lag Switch user, Just come out of a game against an extremely unapologetic miscreant that used it so heavily it might as well have been a 56k modem match.
So here's basically what happened several times in the match.
Spotted the guy, several team members pumped him full of lead, no damage numbers appearing at all, suddenly several team members drop dead as he ports around the screen then he dies after.
The other was using it in a manner that allowed him to Teleport right up behind people without showing on Radar (Warlock Sun Slinger so definitely not Blink) kill someone and port away.
It was 2 out of say 30 games, but the fact people are blatantly doing this is bad, very bad. Bungie need to get this sorted ASAP.

Video proof of lag switching? Pathetic to even make a post and not include it, I have played hundreds of games and never encountered it
-
2 Repliesif youre bad enough that you have to go through the trouble of setting up a whole lag switch operation to win games you are a sad sorry pathetic loser
-
2 RepliesI detest anyone that does this. Why? Why would you do it? The rewards are f cking random! You don't get style points for kd. Congratulations, you just sold your soul for one extra crucible mark per match. May you rot in hell.

3 RepliesAcross the map shoulder charge!! This is a big issue that Bungie has dodged since October 2014.

1 ReplyEdited by Heathen_Nature: 4/29/2015 9:44:12 AMIm willing to bet that, that guy was lag switching in the end destiny servers suck, they run so bad they showed me how well bf4 actually runs

5 RepliesYou got to have testicles of a poodle to go through the trouble to link up your laptop to your router and ps4 and sit there for 3-4 sec clicking a switch off and on just to get kills. Not to mention your weener is even smaller. So small that when you pee you pee on your tiny nutts

4 RepliesEdited by Void: 4/29/2015 6:42:38 PMMost of you probably just have poverty internet. Do you really think people are lagswitching on Destiny of all games? I've played thousands of Halo 3 matches at rank 50, the most cheater infested game you can imagine. I've been DDoS'd hundreds of times but you know what I haven't encountered once? Lagswitching. I very much doubt that anyone would cheat in general on a game like Destiny that doesn't have any ranking system or real incentive for players to cheat. I have 100mb/s download 10mb/s upload internet with fibreoptic cable. I haven't encountered anyone that I can honesty suspect of lagswitching. I rarely even experience bad lag. Stop claiming "lagswitcher!!" and filing false reports every time you get a laggy match. The crucible is peer to peer so if you don't have great internet you're going to experience lag. Deal with it.

Funny how when I have issues with my internet I get punished for it and when others have Internet issues I still get punished for it

1 ReplyBecause people have no knowledge of sportsmanship and competitiveness. Lag switchers are the performance enchancing drug users of the gaming world. What's funnier are those people that refuse to acknowledge it's existence, some people genuinely believe that it is a myth. Honestly Bungie is largely to blame for this. They were unable to create a game that has a solid netcode and penalise those with poorer internet connections.
-
I can't understand why Bungie hasn't done anything to address this?
-
1 ReplyI just don't understand why it's so much worse during IB? All the rats coming out of the woodwork?
-
3 RepliesNothing like ArcBlade hits not registering.
-
1 ReplyI'm red half of my matches (I have good internet/wifi) and I wouldn't know how to lagswitch even if I wanted to. I don't speak nerd or know anything about it.
-
5 RepliesI download a movie when I play = god mode due to lag
-
10 Repliesits called lag you need to be host to lag switch and moat of the time people just have horrible connection. they are not lag switching
-
2 RepliesPeople itt say it's just lag but how come whenever I'm lagging bad I can't kill anyone. But when these people lag they have 4+ kds and can't be touch. No way you're gonna tell me that just boils down to regular old lag
-
4 RepliesHow does one tell the difference between a lag switch, and a genuine slow connection? I honestly don't know.
-
7 RepliesEdited by NathanW18: 4/27/2015 12:02:05 PMThe 'lag switching' people constantly go on about is not lag switching. The problems are horrible netcode, players with a terrible connection and P2P servers. The game should be kicking players out of lobbies with horrible connections. If some guy is teleporting all over the place, the server must be able to realise that and disconnect him. One player shouldn't ruin the lobby for everyone else.

Don't worry, the ban hammer will come down hard on them.

1 ReplyTo all the people who claim it isn't lagswitching. Yes, there has always been lag in Destiny, especially the Crucible. However, it was never this bad for me, until the cheese for Crota that required a lagswitch came out. Ever since then, I can't play more than a few games of Crucible without encountering someone that is blatantly using one. ESPECIALLY in Iron Banner.

13 RepliesLag switching isn't a problem. They're probably just using a McDonald's internet connection. What frustrates me more is that people blatantly boost in rumble matches

5 RepliesDestiny servers are just crap. Take this story for example: First match in Iron Banner this week. I'm on a fireteam of 6 with my roommate. Match starts and he and I can't see any control point flags or pick up any ammo crates but the players are moving around normally. I walk up to the enemies and shotgun them in the face with no effect. I melee them with no effect. They don't even react like they can't even see me. Same with my roommate. My buddies in the fireteam are telling me it looks like I'm at the start and haven't even moved. I lob an Axion bolt and Lo and behold it gets a kill! So I find a group and use nova bomb and bam all dead. These guys still don't see me I'm assuming. Run around the entire match collecting orbs from teammates and spamming axion bolts and nova bombs. When we hit about 19500 points suddenly it resyncs and the enemy kills me. Was I hacking? Nope. Were the servers completely -blam!-ed up in my favor? Yep! Got that 10 kills without dying bounty done quickly too. Most hilarious match ever. TL;DR. Destiny servers suck and most "hackers" are just server issues.
-
Just report him. Eventually, with enough flags, they'll take a look and decide if it's true or not

Edited by Deus: 4/29/2015 9:33:01 AMBungie needs address this issue. It has become so rampant and ruins the gaming experience. Players are effectively unhooking themselves from their avatar so it is left there as a clone. This is an extreme exploit!
-
report him for cheating, bungie are handing out bans.

My second game in I ran into a full team of people who refused to take damage. I will be sitting this IB out I think. No need to put up with that bullsh*t when HoW is so close. I just started enjoying Destiny again I'm not gonna ruin it for myself.
