Best/Fastest Glimmer Farm PERIOD. (FACT.)
It's just so simple.. I'm surprised I haven't seen it posted.
1. Acquire a gatekeeper checkpoint in the Vault of Glass.
2. Throw on a blue polyphage.
3. Go in (group or solo) and kill all 10-12 yellow Vex while disregarding the gatekeeper.
4. Kill yourself, rinse and repeat.
pro tip: keep in mind that a lot of the time they drop axiomatic beads for EXTRA glimmer!!
It's easy to gain 2000+ glimmer in under 10 minutes.
This method is the absolute fastest/most efficient way of farming glimmer.
I CHALLENGE anyone to prove me wrong.

This guy is doing it wrong takes 40 seconds tops and when me and my group do this we bring in 2 hunters golden gun, one shot every yellow you get about 700+ glimmer or so per run not counting the beads. Best thing is you only need to shoot two yellows in order to produce 8 orbs of light basically chaining supers making things faster... But if your a loner like I can be sometimes I do exclusion zone...

5 RepliesYou know what Destiny needs? A battle arena where your guardian or you and a group of up to 6 guardians just try to survive wave after wave of enemies until everyone dies and it could have every enemies fighting your group of guardians. The enemies will gradually get stronger and stronger after each wave. It'll add some friendly cooperative competition and it'd be ideal for glimmer farming. Pop one of each of the glimmer things and fight waves of all the different types of enemies at once. Plus all the major enemies that will eventually turn into ultra enemies and potentially a group of six guardians will be fighting boss level enemies in a closed off battle arena. After each wave you complete you get rewards and the rewards get better the more waves you complete and the chances for exotic and legendary items increase a very little amount with each wave you complete (of course capping the chances for exotic and legendary drops after a certain amount of waves completed..... I just want a fast way to earn glimmer....

Exclusion Zone, run past the first drop ship with bladedancer and arc blade aoe the majors, die, come back and kill them with rockets, then back with arc blade

Edited by Bytehoven: 1/2/2015 3:55:36 PMalthough a 2 man operation to keep the spawn flowing, go to Earth Patrol and farm the 3 hive down stairs. One team member stays up top to prevent the spawn of the 3 adds, and occasionally kills the adds from the drop ship. Run a wax idle and farm 125 glimmer every 15 seconds. The player up top just needs to have his team member in the radar to get credit. Enjoy.

2000 in 10 mins sucks, you can do the exclusion zone like 11 times in 10 mins and get like 5k+

Your doing exclusion zone wrong then. Run straight past the first ship, I like to jump on top of the building on the right, and the 2nd ship will spawn instantly.

3 RepliesExclusion Zone Wiping everything out but a phalanx or the shielded captain, whatever his name is. I get around 550-566 glimmer every 50 seconds or so. So 2k+ glimmer in under 5 minutes.

5 RepliesMe and my team's way of farming glimmer is launching The Exclusion Zone Mission on Mars on Level 18 with Re-supply codes. I usually get 1000 glimmer per round. I wipe on the first part and do it again. Hope this brings other ways of acquiring glimmer :D
