I would rather look like a badass in combat instead of wearing gear just for stats. What do you guys think? I've meet other players who just want to get to 30 but dont wear what they like. Also they should make shaders for sparrows. EDIT They could invent some kind of vanity slot
EDIT: Wow this post is getting popular Keep on commenting I enjoy your responses

If there was a lot of diffrent armor that didn't affect stats sure...but there isn't...not even variation in shaders

Fashion Souls, best Souls

Function over form is always best...
-
I agree. You have to do it with style :)

i have stats as my main priorty yes... however, On top of that, i will grind to get a look i want among rmor with the best stats, for instance, i had full raid gear for my warlock, and I ground out iron banner, because i thought the iron banner armor looked better, also i will choose an exotic sometimes based on looks. my titan wears the helmet that makes him look like a DubStep DJ, just for looks, the perks of the helmet are nothing worth mentioning.

I do like God of War shader/ Skull of Dire Ahamkara combo cause it makes it black, so tend to wear those when perks on other stuff doesn't matter so much. :)
-
I go for looks, definitely. Style over substance.
-
I use sunbreakers on my warlock for the look. Don't even use solar flare grenades that much
-
I'm going to buy ruin wings for looks
-
I wish I could but then I wouldn't allowed to do the stuff in game I want. I gotta look like a clown to play😞
-
Oh heck ._. So I'm not the only 1? I try to use nice looking gear, but its almost impossible on hunters Fugly gear bothers me, even in real life I'm picky beyond belief on the types of clothes or brands i wear lol That being said, IB gear is sexy as fuuu

1 ReplyI bought the Wings of Ruin for my titan's collection, then I put them on and was pleased. I decided to level it up and found out I could pick up four Gjallarhorn rockets for each pick up and was hooked. I'm in love with my Titan's new arms in every way shape and form~ <3

I used to but now I don't even look at VG armour. I weigh up the stats it gives me and pick the right one. Earlier on, it's easy to get away with but you need to make sure you're getting your grenades/super/melee quicker (depending on your play style. I'm the latter of your examples; I want to level up and be more effective in higher level missions rather than look good. Though I am a whore for shaders - I change every day almost :D

6 RepliesYes I'm am actually loving the look of the titan chest the vanguard and crucible vendors sell. It has a freaking collar lol. I just need to find an exotic worth replacing my armamentarium.

i got the warlock helmet from nm but that thing looks like a toaster :) i wont put on ugly gear , kill and die with style ;)
-
I have all tower gear now to go with my exotics. Dismantled VOG gear as it was getting to boring to look at.
-
You can die ugly. Or you can die with style!

My friend make YouTube videos about destiny
-
Yes. Hell yes. Oh my christ, 35% of the reason I play destiny is because I like the armor.
-
Always for stats

2 RepliesI only get armor for stats. Period. I'd rather be successful than look cool. If ugly helmet A has more useful features than siiiiicccck helmet B I'll take A in a heartbeat. Light level is the most important part of getting stronger and trumps everything in my book.

Edited by xAMERICAN MEATx: 12/11/2014 10:47:34 PMBefore the DLC I was one of those people who decided I would rather my character look cool then be a level 30 and look like everyone else. So I had no qualms with being a 29 and looking the way I wanted him to look. Ask for the DLC I did not purchase it prior when I bought the game and everything I'm hearing I don't really plan on purchasing it now either. I'm

7 RepliesWhat's lame is that some armor shows you wearing a knife or nightstick, why aren't these able to be used?

3 RepliesI pick looks every time. Stats don't make me a better player, practice does.
