  • Well dipping your own body weight is actually very impressive. The guys I watch(who are 200lbs) can dip their own bw for reps but have been at it for 5+ years. I just started training like this about 6 months ago and the other year and a half was bodybuilding. 2 years in total with most of it purely hypertrophy training.

  • Yeah I tried rewording that part but just took it out because it made me out to be an ass. It's just one of those things that I don't really think about, as in I could not recall how long it took me to increase my strength to where I could do body weight dips and was just curious how long you had been at it. I've been weight lifting seriously since I was 20-21 and was about 160. 4 years later I'm 24 and at about 220. This is coming off a half assed bulk where I was dealing with shingles so by the time I finish cutting I'll be a lot closer to 200.

  • This is true. I was mainly riffing on the people who do chest press and preacher curls all day long.
