With the newest update to Bad Juju, the weapon truly comes into its own as a strong and rewarding Exotic weapon to own and use.
With that said, why does the weapon include the "Full Auto" perk?
As a Pulse Rifle, and given its low impact, I don't find myself using the perk intentionally or for very long.
The perk encourages you to hold down the trigger to beat out other Pulse Rifles by putting as much lead down range as possible or to kill enemies in close proximity to you with relative ease. However, the hip fire spread on any weapon is horrendous for anything farther than 5 meters.
So why would you use this in close quarters, hip firing, which also does less damage than aiming down the sights, or at range where the quick succession can make you easily lose track of your target or miss a shot?
It seems odd to place this perk, default unlocked, on a weapon that requires precision when the fire rate of the weapon alone is more than adequate.
I'm interested to know if anyone finds this perk useful or if anyone thinks it should be Cut/Replaced.

Edited by Santaclause20133: 1/1/2016 9:32:33 PMI myself love almost all of the perks on the 'Bad Juju' Pulse Rifle. But the 'Full Auto' perk automatically (See what I did there?) causes the firearm to turn to absolute crap. For a player like me, who prefers to get headshots to end whatever is standing in my way, this completely ruins my play style. As multiple bursts that quick decrease the likelihood of landing precision shots, and then decreases my performance overall (Which is why I stay away from Automatic firearms in the first place). As, in my opinion, Automatic Firearms encourage that 'spray and play' style, which again decreases your ability to hit your desired target multiple times. This firearm is better appreciated in the hands of players who aren't exactly good at hitting targets, but for those above that 'ranking' you might as well scrap it for that Exotic Shard to infuse an exotic that is worth your time and effort (And yes I know that was a run on Sentence).

I find the "Full Auto" perk on pulse rifles to be total BS, it does *not* make it fire full auto, it fires 3 round burst with asininely long pauses without having to lift the trigger. Yes, that is the *technical* definition of fully automatic, don't split hairs with me. (i.e. speaking specifically of the firing mechanism) /rant

2 RepliesIf you are looking for a weapon to dispatch massive amounts of adds and help clear numerous bounties with its super adding ability buff in string of curses this is the weapon of choice. Post buff this weapon rocks and when used with right build (gunslinger perk) is even more deadly. I have even had success in pvp but don't expect the same results you find in pve, definitely lacks the impact and close range advantage to other weapons in pvp

1 ReplyBecause it can actually compete with other guns with full auto. When's the last time you saw a pulse rifle in pvp?
-
1 ReplyWhere's the option for "i wouldnt use it if it weren't for the full auto mode" in your poll? It's been a while since i've looked but isnt the full auto mode an instant perk? As in it does not take one of the perk slots.

When I'm killing a ton of mobs my finger starts to hurt from constantly pressing the trigger. That's why I don't use scout rifles too often. Bad juju is a one time trigger press, and infinite ammo.

I didn't know there was a full auto perk. I may actually use the gun now. I won't use any gun except a hand canon, if it doesn't full auto. I hate hitting my trigger 47 times when I can just hold it.

5 RepliesIt's ok. I still would prefer my VLO (that pulse rifle is a monster!!!)

Full auto is fine, especially if you take perfectly balanced. Hip fire is a waste though.

1 ReplyTried bad juju in pvp but that thing tickles people to death it's stupid it's low impact is really a problem.

Edited by robbinnDaHood: 12/5/2014 10:39:02 PMIt doesn't use up any perk space it's an automatic perk like fan fire on TLW, full auto on invective and regenerating ammo on icebreaker which you did state but while it is a precision weapon, if you have good aim with its perfect balance upgrade it makes it all the more better same with VoC and TLW
-
I would rather have a different perk than full auto. I usually don't use it
-
It makes it really good for mobs of little enemies, you can cut down thralls, dregs and shanks no problem
-
Meh. I'm more miffed it still has a hipfire bonus. Not only is hipfire still bad but why on earth would anyone want to hipfire a weapon that requires precision for good damage output?

1 ReplyJust wait till Crotas end, where were under the weight of darkness, can't jump, and have waves running at us of hive, you guys go ahead and reload, I'll clean the mess up. Bad JuJu is awesome, infinite ammo if your it right.

6 RepliesFull auto along with the instant reload after a kill and super charge makes this thing a super mob killing tank. Try it on the Dark Beyond mission and see if you can see the potential. I have it on now with a loadouts that makes creating orbs and getting my super extra fast.

All I can say is If I wanted full auto, I'd choose an assault rifle
-
1 ReplyIt's a given perk so it doesn't waste space. I think it is awesome to have on a pulse rifle
