I love the outlook but here's my thing... I have 11-12 exotics guns and 9-10 exotic armors. I use all the armors consistently and have most of them fully leveled. As for the guns at least half are at full levels. The main problem here is all my work goes down the drain. I've worked my butt off this last month in preparation for the new dlc thinking I would be ahead and ready for it. And now, in order to give my weapons and armor their ultimate potential, I have to start from scratch. And not only that, but I will have to spend a ton of coins on it... Way more than before.
Even if I do this, next dlc I'll have to do it again when they raise the cap again. I get the whole progression thing, I'm fine with that. And I could just re-level a few guns I use and some of my armor. But that leaves me without all my options. And I like options. So now I have to work for my options again.
I dunno. I just don't want to feel like I'm constantly wasting my time. I get that it's an opportunity to better my character, but it feels like one step forward and two steps back. I just feel there has to be a better way.

Good way of putting it first off. If I were in your shoes if be disappointed too. That being said, there isn't just a few pieces that you use more than the others? You have a few favorites that can be used in multiple situations without swapping too much right? Thanks for keeping it civil too man! You have the right to be ticked, but you kept it reserved and voiced your opinion well!

I could use just a few. But I play three characters all over 20. And have 300+ hours upgrading those exotics. Honestly I'm a collector who wants the best for his characters. And that means fully upgraded gear. I'll work for it again, as long as they find another route for the next dlc. If that doesn't happen, I'll feel like my time has been wasted and my love for this amazing game will dwindle. The loot and gear is our goal in destiny. To make our characters better. The best. Our damage, armor, and even light level depends on it. But to wipe what work we've wrought into it to make things better? Doesn't cut it for me. Thanks for posting something positive though in this cloud of darkness. It's nice to see light in the forums.

See I never equated all those exotics to the fact you may have had 3 characters as I only run my Titan. If anyone has a right to complain it would be people like you, the ones with multiple primaries and more than 100 hours logged. I'll add that to an edit.
