Best Way to Farm for Legendary Engrams?
I'm wanting to get some other opinions on the best way to farm for legendary engrams. So far I have just been grinding the Tiger Strike playlist with limited results. I've already finished the daily heroic, weekly heroic, weekly nightfall. and VoG. Does anyone out there have a better/quicker way? Any opinions/suggestions are appreciated. Also if you are looking for someone to play from time to time on the XBOX 1 platform, add me up. GT: CorruptKamikaze. I'm always down for raids, dailies, weeklies, nightfalls, strikes etc.

6 RepliesI've put a lot of time and effort into this game, the best way I've found to get legendary engrams are tiger strikes, it's boring and repetitive somewhat, but it definitely will give you the most results. Allow me to explain. Being that loot is completely random the only way conceivably to raise your chances of getting something good is grinding like a mofo. In a tiger you have the possibility of a purple engram drop, a purple engram at the end, an exotic at the end, and blue engrams during and after (that have givin me more purples than purples). Not to mention just being able to grind cryptarch rep. Hope this helps!

Patrol in the plague land and just running around and do Patrol also if you have three characters you can do the public events that's guaranteed 3 legendaries every day

keep doing dragon strikes and nightfall vog and daily trust me today i have played for 2 hours and have 28 blues 5 legendery

A bunch of thralls and acolytes will come out, along with knights. Kill the thralls and acolytes, but let yourself get killed by the knights. Repeat and get engrams.

2 RepliesI'm a Level 28 who's been playing Tiger Strikes, Nightfall, Weeklies, dailies and everything else forever and I've never gotten a single purple engram. Ever. I'm Vanguard rank 6 I believe and my Cryptarch is up to 17 or so. Never got any as rewards, from packages, or in the wild. I'm seriously starting to think my character is glitched somehow because this is ridiculous.

Upgrade a faction, Crucible, and Vanguard. Play ROC Strikes, do Raids, and just compete in the weeklies. Just play the game

1 ReplyRarely get them since they patched the loot cave tbh. Probably count on one hand how many ive had since then. Also from crpyarch ive had 3 so far i believe. Rest have all been blues with some legendarys in. But its the exotics i want lol.

The best way that I've found I've gotten several off the first mission on the moon, just after the cinematic, kill everything except the knight. Let the knight kill you and repeat, took me about 200 kills before I got my first emgram. It is random and it does take a while but it does happen, I usually set mine to a high level 26 or 30, it gives more enemies to kill and a higher chance to get blue or even legendary engrams

1 ReplyMy personal experience with farming was that it took too long to have a chance to get 1 legendary. So then I started doing tons of vanguard rocs and I got tons of legendary's but lately I haven't gotten any legendary's, which is odd because I used to get a ton.

4 RepliesWhy? Legendary gear and weapons become pretty obsolete once you get Raid gear and weapons. Hit 27 ASAP then start raiding. Those other Legendaries are crap compared to the Raid stuff.

Omnigul strike. First room play with a friend Kill into adds. Wait for hive Kill hive Clear room. Rinse Found 5 last night in about an hour ans a half

Best way is to level up vanguard and also do higher weekly and get more strange coins and unexpected gear

11 RepliesDo the daily on level 24 or 26, 50% of the time I get a legendary engram sometimes two if one drops. Tiger strikes aren't bad , cause those blues will rank up your cryptarch. Nowadays a cryptarch package practically guarantees a purple engram, but it wasn't always this way. So if you are all about those purple engrams with little effort make 3 characters to level 26 or higher and do all three dailys. The raid is a much better option since legendary armor engrams are crap, because their max light is not 30.

Roc strikes, id say 1/10 I got a couple from 2 hours yesterday
