If I understand you correctly your confused why people would believe a book that was written by humans, in some cases along time after Jesus death. My humble opinion is the bible claims many supernatural occurrences, including bringing people back to life. Simple answer: if you choose to believe the bible you are believing in a lot of supernatural power. It's not a stretch at all for the bible to claim the authors were inspired by God, I mean look at what else it claims. You either believe it or not.
Your question is a good question however. If you really are curious about ancient text the history channel has done multiple documentaries on the bible and other writings, very informative.

We can bring people back to life now, so maybe it wasn't so hard back then either. Yay the history channel...aliens....

I work in the medical field, bringing someone back is no small task. Lots of knowledge and drugs are sometimes required, I doubt they had either one. But I wasn't there so ???
-
I'm not for it, just stating an opinion.

Much of what they put out now, and have been giving, is speculation at the very best. In the worst case, they highlight people who take assumptions as fact. I mean, just look at any of their ancient aliens docs - literal garbage.

Lol, true. Well it was interesting to watch.

Many things in the bible are already in other beliefs.

Yep. And they all were before it to

For the most part religion is the same. But I think "think" the bible is unique in a couple of ways that separate it from others. Let me stress I am not familiar with all religions so, this is just a light conversation.
-
I don't see how.
-
Again let me stress I don't know this for fact lol. Bible claims that "God" is still alive today and just as powerful as ever. Also the bible preaches that you can have a personal relationship with this God. In other words he will help you through this life. As far as I know other religions don't offer that. From what I've been told other religions the god/prophet is dead or gone. And there is no way to have an ongoing relationship that changes as you do. I'm just stating possible differences. Belief in this is a completely different argument lol.
-
A small difference but again most don't say their gods are dead. If they are then there is no point to believe
-
Agreed, don't really see a point to follow a dead God. Was good talking to you, now to get shamed in the crucible.
