I have the same problem also when i'm logged on to the website it says I need to create a character. I have one account I use and have made 3 characters.

Same problem. But one of my friends still shows all of his destiny characters when I look at his profile.

Mine states I have not played Destiny with this account.

Mine too. I played the beta but the companion app says 'This account has not played Destiny'. I was never able to view my character during the beta either so it's not because the beta is offline.
