Wow. Bad move, 343. Bad move. Considering that halo's main competitors are CoD and Battlefield, and with CoD, there's a lot of Aussie players.

I'm pretty sure it's client hosted anyway instead of server so it is probably just a lack of Australian interest to pick a host from.
